Return to Pleasure Cove Marina

by tzeeler on Jul 14, 2009
This is a great place. We went with our cruising club for the weekend. The dock staff were very attentative to our every need. The restaurant on site is very good and very busy on the weekend. You can expect a wait Friday and Saturday evening. The swimming pool really made the trip for me. It was super relaxing. Their fuel is reasonably priced.

We have stored our boat in the high-and-dry at Pleasure Cove. We were VERY pleased with the office staff, the yard workers, and the dock attendants!! The restaurant is spectacular, and the setting is quite nice. At the time, the marina provided showers, laundry facilities, a small gym, and a nice little pool (kept quite clean and adjacent to the restaurant/bar). The water definitely drafts quite deep and they have a very large lift for the super-size boats (as you can tell from the lower right area in the photo). The boat ride from the marina to the Patapsco is almost entirely no-wake, but the scenery is quite pleasant so the 15 minute ride isn't so bad. From here, it is a quick ride up to Baltimore, around and down to Annapolis, and roughly 10 miles across to Rock Hall. I'm sure someone with more recent experience can add an update, but we definitely enjoyed our time at the marina.
