Service and facility are outstanding. Easy access right along the ICW recently updated clean showers and good dining with a short walk in this beautiful town.

We really thought that this marina did a great job. Just updated the marina recently. Close to city center with good restaurants and a coffee shop. Right off the intercoastal and decent protection from the wind and wakes.

Southport Marina is just now (April 2009) finishing a total renovation of their facility. The boatyard (75T travel lift) has just opened and is in the process of setting up the facility. The repair yard is run by Gregory Poole, a large NC based Caterpillar Tractor dealer with over 900 employees state wide. Overall, the changes in the Southport Marina facility in the last few years are really startling. They are having to overcome the poor reputation of the previous owners and staff but they are well on their way to doing this. The current staff are dedicated, pleasant and customer oriented. As Southport Marina customers and local owners of a 57' steel schooner and a small 20' Boston Whaler, we have watched with pleasure the positive changes.
