About

St. John’s Marina & Resort in DeLand, Florida, is situated on the 330-mile long St. John’s River, directly across from the Ocala National Forest. Famed for its bass fishing, St. Johns River is one of only 3 rivers in the nation that flows north and one of the “laziest” rivers in the world. Located only 30 miles from Orlando and 30 miles from Daytona Beach, St. John’s Marina enjoys spectacular seclusion and beauty making it an ideal escape from the busy lifestyle of the metropolitan city.

The marina sits across from the Ocala National Forest which is the second largest National Forest in Florida and covers approximately 607 square miles (1570 km²) in central Florida. The Forest (established in 1908) is the oldest national forest east of the Mississippi River and the southernmost national forest in the continental U.S. Offering 50 acres of waterfront land and with 20 upland acres.

St John's Marina is equipped with 30/50 amp pedestals at each slip. (Our slip numbers read left to right, NOT up and down) Water, Wifi, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, pool and pump outs are available. Our aluminum floating docks make boat entrance easy no matter what height the river is at. Our on site restaurant (St. John's River Grille) has your favorite drink and great food. Check us out, fun for all!!

Amenities are ok, office staff is sometimes unsure of operations. Area lighting is dim. Laundry facility are just don’t work or clean clothes. Dockage is average and cost is high for a river location. Owner is very rude and has to upgrade the place.

Been here a little over a year. very convenient to keep our pontoon here and take it out whenever we want. New owners came in this summer. After an initial unannounced rate increase (retroactive and wiping out 20% discount we had received for paying in advance under old ownership), Brenda in the office was very accommodating and we came to a reasonable compromise. As long as the terms remain as agreed through the end of my slip rental next year, happy with the way we worked it out and for Brenda's professionalism. Thank you for working with us.

Nice overnight accommodation on the front transient dock. Aside from a LONG walk around to the office to check-in, everything was fine. The slip map on their website does not match the numbers on the power poles, so we were confused and they don't monitor Channel 16 so we were on our own. We went into the slip with the assigned number on the power pole as the other looked too narrow for us. As we were backing in, we had to wait for some manatees to clear out of the slip! They were huge! Very friendly staff at the marina office, and the restaurant was very good as well! We will stay here on our way back for sure, and will make it a regular stop when on the St. Johns River!

Our 3 month stay was enjoyable. Having the St Johns River as part of the camping experience is an added benefit for the fishermen. Boat slips are available if you want easy in/out access to the water. The campsites vary to accomodate your rig. I think organized campground group activities would be a plus.
