Salt Ponds Marina is a resort community, perfect for long and short  term docking.  There are 270 floating slips with transient slips reserved for visiting yachtsmen.  Vessels to 110 feet can be accommodated.  There is a waterfront restaurant, banquet facilities, ship's store and recreational facilities.  There are four shower and head facilities and two laundries.  For your enjoyment, there are two pools and a sandy beach. 

The marina has floating docks with full length finger piers and rubber rub rails.  Set your fender low.  This is a perfect destination for your power squadron, boat group or rendezvous.  Enjoy abundant flounder, rockfish, cobia, speckled trout in the Bay or take a short trip into the Atlantic just minutes away and land a trophy-size tuna, marlin or dolphin.  Catches are brought into the marina daily for weighing an cleaning.  Salt Ponds is only 53 miles from Norfolk Canyon and 3.5 hours from the Gulf Stream.

Feel the wind – Hampton is home to some of the best sailboat racing on the east coast and its deep-water racing grounds are just off our beaches. There are no fixed span bridges or competition with major vessel traffic. As a major tourist destination, gold courses are plentiful.

Take a day trip to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens or the many museums in the area. Go shopping at the famous Williamsburg Pottery Factory or the many brand name retail outlets in the area.

Visit historic Virginia with Jamestown, Yorktown and Williamsburg all within 25 miles from the marina. Rental cars are available for delivery to the marina and there is local taxi service.

Onshore fishing is also very popular with local residents. Baitfish moving with the tide in our abundant wetlands provide an excellent source for food for larger fish all year long. Fishing from these inlets provide great results.

 Crabbing is also a local favorite pastime. Hampton boasts some of the largest and best tasting Blue Channel crabs on the east coast.

The lower end of the Chesapeake Bay is also one of the greatest areas for  Striped Bass or Rockfish. The annual Rockfish tournament held here is considered one of fishing's finest events.
