The dock hands and facilities are top notch and the location can’t be beat. Our only negative is we were here during 2 gales. The second was from the west and it beat us up. No damage or anything but it was pretty uncomfortable. Their sea wall mitigated wave effect but certainly didn’t nullify it.
This was a great experience. First the marina has the best location possible. It’s in a quiet residential part of town but the restaurants and shops start literally a block away. It’s maybe a 5 minute walk to the center of town. It’s probably the best located marina I’ve ever been to. Brian, the dock master, is the best. We had some problems with the boat and got a quote to fix it. Brian asked how much and found us a great vendor for half the price. He is truly there as an advocate for his residents. He lives on site and he keeps an eye on things. I think he knows everyone in town and was an incredible resource. I know, I really am enthusiastic about this stay. We went for a day and stayed 7. One of our top 5 stops ever over 15,000 miles cruising.
Location is so great. Tiny fairways for larger boats. Be careful if your over 40 feet. Overall a great value
Simple mooring pickup with a nice pennant. The launch was coming to direct us but we got lucky and drove right to it. The launch was great and responsive. The town is small, cute and very walkable. Great place to stay.
It’s just a great place to stay and the museum is one that we really love.
Just a great place with great people. They are probably the most service oriented marina I’ve ever been to. Nick and Andrew, the owners are truly dedicated.
