Full service marina (repairs, fuel and water, launch service, pumpouts, laundry, showers, wifi) with an excellent restaurant. No slips, but plenty of guest moorings.
We’ve stopped here many times. The only time it was less than perfect was during the pandemic when they were shorthanded. They’re back up to speed and perfect once again. This is a don’t-miss-it marina.
We’ve been staying at Landings Marina for years during our annual downeast cruise. We’ve never been disappointed, and for that reason we’ve never stayed anyplace else in Rockland Harbor. The location is within east walking distance to the terrific downtown which includes the Farnsworth art museum. Today we’re listening to a weekend long blues festival that we can hear from the marina. One year our visit coincided with the annual lobster festival. We consider stopping in Rockland a must, and wouldn’t stay anywhere but Landings Marina.
Wonderful as always. We stop at Robinhood at least once every summer and have never been disappointed.
Good location for weather protection. We had to contact the harbormaster to find our assigned mooring as it didn’t have a number on it.
We had a very good early season stay at this very busy boatyard. They were launching boats one after another but still took time to pay attention to us, help us dock, and provide all the information and codes we’d need during our one- night stay. The location is a 45-minute ride up river from the Sound, but it’s a pretty ride. The channel is shallow in places; we draw 3’9”, traversed it at low tide both times and had no trouble.
Lovely marina, run by Kate, who is as capable and enthusiastic a marina manager as we’ve found anywhere. We were there in April, so there were few other boats. The marina is part of a resort, and showers and other amenities are in the resort’s main building. They include indoor and outdoor pools, a full service spa, and a restaurant. Every employee we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. The marina is at the mouth of the Connecticut River, so it’s easy on/easy off from Long Island Sound. The one problem for us on the single night we stayed there was that there was wave action all night strong enough to keep the fenders between the boat and the floating dock squeaking constantly. Regardless, we would stay there again and choose a slip in a different location.
Great marina. Outstanding personnel and facility, with the best showers we’ve seen, and we’ve been traveling the ICW since early November so we’ve used a lot of marina showers. Several restaurants within east walking distance. We would stay here again without hesitation.
Beautiful protected marina. We were given space on a t-dock which was perfect for us. Dockmaster Liam was great. Showers were nearby and had a hairdryer and other supplies.
Very nice marina, well situated for easy on and off the ICW and very protected. Lots of restaurants and bars adjacent. James was a great help. Can’t comment on showers and laundry because we didn’t use them.
The marina suffered a lot of hurricane damage. There is only one dock available and it has slips with electricity and water, but no pump outs. Parallel to the dock is a building with toilets, showers and laundry, and also a well-stocked store and a good restaurant. Dock master, Tyler, is doing as well as possible under the circumstances.
We’re extending our stay at Halifax Harbor Marina because our engine wouldn’t start after we fueled up yesterday. We can’t say enough good things about the way the marina handled this problem. If we could give them more than five stars, we would. We were towed to a wide slip, in a very friendly long-term part of the marina, and we’re awaiting a mechanic this afternoon. This couldn’t have happened in a better place.
This is a marina we would want to visit again. General manager Kirsten was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. She clearly likes and enjoys people. The marina facility itself is new and high end. It’s actually two marinas sharing two separate dock spaces, one for Freedom Boat Club and the other a series of face docks for members and transients, all overseen by Kirsten. The main building has a free washer and dryer, and showers. WiFi was good and strong. When we arrived there were three capable dockhands to help us. The level of assistance provided by all employees was more than impressive! Fuel, water and electrical hookups were conveniently located. Be sure to back into your berth so you can go out bow first; the current can be ferocious.
We stayed two nights at Homer Smith Marina and found it to be pretty much perfect. Easy to access, friendly and responsive, and the entire facility appeared to be brand new with no expense spared. The showers were great, and while I didn’t use the free laundry I walked through and the machines were new and top of the line. We stopped there because of the recommendation by Bob423, which was spot on. We would definitely stay there again.
We found this easy-to-access marina to be very well run and friendly. Dockmaster Brandon was a great help while we were docking, and then he gave us a ride to town in the marina’s launch. We were disappointed the on-site restaurant was closed, but we did fine in town. Took an Uber back. Before we got underway the next morning we got a pump out and topped off the water tank, and the fellow who helped us was friendly and efficient. We would stay at Bluewater Marina again, no question.
Friendly, efficient, and full service. We would definitely stay here again. Addison and his crew have been unfailingly helpful. This is a protected marina, with a nice local restaurant and a well stocked West Marine within walking distance.
We’ve been stopping here for years on our annual cruise down east from Portland. They’ve always been helpful, friendly and accommodating. There are showers on the property. The anchorage has a combination of working lobster boats and pleasure boats, so there’s always activity, which we enjoy. An easy walk away are a couple of restaurants, a bakery, a general store and a post office.
