Great day on the island just know you cannot tie up at the dock drop off only
Friendly and courteous staff when they tied my bow and stern line and I did not even have to retire they know their business just put on a spring line We were coming off the boat to go up with our trash and recyclables and two of the crew were walking by and asked if they could take our garbage and I recyclables for us up. Showers are clean water is hot. Made friends with the resident boaters in the short time we were here. One captain let me use his monster water hose and was able to clean up Babette nicely. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we called on the radio This was my first visit to Salem after sailing Massachusetts Bay my whole life They let us change our reservation so that we could be on The dock for the first night then out to a mooring for the second. The crew here at safe Harbor were friendly and professional and the facilities are immaculately clean and even have a TV that you can watch what you do your laundry It is a much shorter walk into town than I thought and I am looking forward to my return visit Thank you to safe Harbour Salem
My wife and I love this marina, it is only 16 miles from our mooring but provides great access to Boston. We feel like we are part of the family from the staff to the permanent residents, we are greeted and treated warmly. Great facility and know our gear (inflatable on the dock) is safe with the security in downtown Beantown. Thanks again to BWM Cap'n Dave and the crew of Babette
Friendly and helpful staff, they called to check my arrival so they could have someone on the dock to catch my lines. Cleanest restrooms out of all the marinas we visited on our cruise Fisherman's View restaurant was a delight
What a great place to stay when cruising. The location is right downtown and still very quiet at night. Kim, the owner/manager was on the dock greeting us and making us feel very welcome. We had time for laundry and she gave us Tide Pods, no pun intended. We also had to stay past check out to wait for a raw water pump via fed ex and she helped lower the stress level. Then, we had a crew member fall off our sailboat and Kim had a ride available to the hospital pronto. She was amazing, what could have been a stressful day was made less so by the culture at this marina. Also, one of the guests was there to ease our friends bruised ego with a kind comment. It is my great pleasure to reccommend this marina to anyone cruising Maine. Captain David Calnan, MMC
Even though the mooring field is on the outside, the field is quiet and comfortable. Great launch service, friendly and professional staff. The local store has everything, including a superb fish market. Sorry I forgot the Hingham YC burgee for exchange.
The launch drivers were very friendly and professional. We got in late and wanted to go to dinner, one driver stayed on for and extra 30-minutes for us to get back. Great facility, friendly members. Sorry I forgot the HYC burgee for exchange
