Good protection from winds. Slip are pretty tight. Would like to get WiFi, bathroom codes, upon arrival or by email instead of having to ask residents
Well protected marina. Friendly staff greeted us and gave us a pump out at the fuel dock. We walked over to the on-site restaurant for a nice dinner. Left the next morning with no issues.
Very nice marina. We arrived during heavy winds and seas and enjoyed a calm, well-protected marina to ease into our slip. Restrooms and showers were roomy and clean. Staff were polite and engaging!
We got lucky and get their only open slip! We spent a week there and explored the Keys by rental car (you can use the Keys shuttle system too). The Dock Master, Doris, was friendly and helpful. The only knock we’re the bathrooms/showers. They were well below standard - dirty floors, toilets and showers.
Easy in and out even in winds and rain. Michael (?) was there to catch our lines. The staff was very helpful. Did a load of laundry - nice and clean! Walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner. There is a local marine shop next door. We were about to get a needed screw. The showers were strong and hot!! Yeah! We’d definitely come back.
Marker 8 is a hotel first and Marina second. There is no one that manages the marina. Any help you may need you must rely in a fellow boater being in the area when you arrive. I asked the nice lady at the front desk a question and her response was ‘“I don’t like to bother the owner.” Really? The showers this morning were lukewarm for both my wife and I. I’ll look for other options on my way back through St Augustine.
LOVE this marina! Easy docking on the linear slip Jovon (sp) and Chris were there to catch our lines. The were very friendly and attentive. We felt very taken care of by these guys. Samantha, in the office, was super friendly and helped us navigate the island. Twice we cruised the Island in their complimentary golf cart. We got takeout from the on-sight restaurant a few times and the food was delicious! The bathrooms/shower were roomy and clean. The washers and dryers were also very nice.
This dock was about 10 minutes up Blackbeard Creek. We spoke to Ronald on the way in and he assisted us in navigating the twists and turns. He was very friendly. This dock did not have power or water (we knew that going in). The bathrooms and showers were acceptable.
