Pool was nice, bathrooms and showers were very clean, staff especially the pool lifeguard were very friendly and helpful, area nice and quiet. Mooring cost per night was high but unfortunately not unusual for the east end of Long Island, shallow approach channels not effectively marked is on-going concern. We enjoyed our stay and will likely be back.
Good, we were assigned far out , but no big deal., launch service was great. .
Cloud not make reservation due to gale warning, was charged full cost for 2 days. I doubt that we will return.
Although we had a reservation thru Dockwa, it was not clear what our mooring assignment would be. Attempt to contact harbormaster via radio and phone was delayed, Harbormaster did return pnone call after 15 minutes, appartently a one man show for all of Newport?
Beautiful harbor, short walk to Jamestown village and restaurants, launch service very prompt.
We had a group of seven boats from our club stay at RIYC for two nights. We had an excellent dinner one night at the club. it was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The launch operators were very nice, especially Todd who was extremely helpful, responsive to our needs, and fun to talk with. The facility itself was very nice. We stayed on moorings just outside the club’s breakwater.I would go back again.
Dock attendants were plentiful and very helpful. Our club was 13 sailboats at this point in our cruise and the marina was very acccommodating. Most of us were attached to their T docks. We ate at a local restaurant near the marina. Relatively long wait but good food. We were off the next day for Port Jeff. We would likce to visit Cedar Island again.
The Club was very nice and accommodating. Our club cruise group had 13 sailboats on our 2 week summer cruise. We enjoyed hor's doevres we brought on the club deck,. What a view!. There were many restaurants in town, We enjoyed the ice cream at "Lics?".We would like to visit again . Thank you PJYC. Crescent Cruising/Niantic Bay Yacht Club, Niantic, CT.
Our cruising club thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were headed to New York City, via Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City. We had 13 boats in our fleet at that time. Some of us took a tour of the City Island Maritime Museum which was very special. We ate at the "Johney's Reef which was a short walk from CIYC. We happened to meet the Commodore who was very informative and recommended how to traverse the East River and Hell's Gate that were very helpful. We would love to visit this yacht club again!
Your clubhouse, bar and grounds were very nice. Some of us took the walk to the Vanderbuilt mansion and tour which was very interesting. Your snackbar cook was very accommodating and deserves a tip of the hat for the excellent service provided. Our cruising club thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank the yacht club for their hospitality.
