The staff were most polite and courteous, though not entirely well trained. They helped us to tie up but offered no direction or even a question about electrical hook-up. We found the marina in need of refreshing or an upgrade of docks. The transient boaters are placed longitudinally (facing the land) on the western dock and, accordingly, they are subject to the regular swell and wave action from the large and active harbor. Hence, for much of the night the transient boater is somewhat rolling alongside the dock.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are aware our docks can be a bit rolly, and we will be upgrading our facility this winter to have a new wave attenuating outer dock. This will improve the docks overall and reduce the effects of the swell and wave action. Some of our staff is new this year, and we have been working to train everyone in a more uniform matter. Our apologies that your experience at Hawthorne Cove was not the exceptional visit that we strive to provide. We sincerely hope that you will visit us again next season, and we will work hard to show you a five-star stay!
