This is our new favorite marina. It is in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. It has all the basics: laundry, showers, electrical hookups and water and lots of additional touches, such as dock steps, complimentary ice and "docktails" on Saturday. The seasonal and transient boaters are friendly and sociable. The highlights of this marina are owners/managers Kim and Chris. They are proactive, welcoming and kind, making everyone feel part of the marina "community".
CYC is very friendly, providing ample instructions on arrival. The floaters (mini-docks for two boats each moored in the inner harbor) are easy to use and conveniently located to the dinghy dock on shore, which is a two minute row away. In turn, downtown Camden is a short walk. The clubhouse is pleasant and friendly. There are small restrooms with a single shower each but no laundry or other services. There's a bar and restaurant but we didn't have the opportunity to try it.
Southwest Harbor is a non-nonsense working town, and Dysart's Great Harbor Marina serves both lobstermen and cruisers well. The infrastructure is fine, Mika, the Dockmaster is very nice and helpful. There are clean showers and laundry facilities. Visitors can borrow a truck to provision. There's a West Marine, a few restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Excellent marina: well located, serviced and maintained. Special thanks to Abby and Trey. So nice to have an all-transient marina in Clayton when others have discontinued. Please keep it that way!
