Always a nice stop and launch was very accommodating for our last minute reservation,
Staff and club all great and thanks to the launch driver who pointed out the local ice cream place but we had a miserable night on an outer mooring. With the strong south & southerwesterly the motion was really uncomfortable. Would not go back in other than settled conditions.
2nd time here and again enjoyed the stay. Tripp is wonderfully old school and no frills but staff is friendly and helpful. New moorings are a bit further from the dock but in a very pretty location and easy to pick up in the significant current. Beach is beautiful and the Westport Harbor Sea Farms Oyster Bar at the head of the harbor is great, complete with dinghy dock. No problems with depth in the channel. Departed one hour after low and saw nothing less than 9-10 ft. Update July 2022. Still a great stop and friendly crew but call Tripp or Harbor Master for instructions. Serious shoaling in parts of the channel. Mid tide and several 6’ spots.
Great stop on the quiet side of Jamestown. Friendly staff, nice showers and self service pump out close by on the town dock. Pleasant and easy walk to town for restaurants etc.
One of our favorite stops. Excellent, clean facilities and a friendly, helpful crew.
