After receiving booking confirmation, I didn’t hear anything from the Marina, so I sent a message on the morning of my arrival, no response. I called and spoke to Nick two hours prior to arrival, and I think I had fallen through the cracks they did not have a slip for me. Ten minutes prior to my arrival, in the middle of a thunderstorm, they finally sent me to their other marina Emerald, which was quite a disappointment compared to what I was expecting. I had booked Bristol because it was right off of the ICW, and had several very good restaurants within easy walking distance, Emerald was several miles off the ICW with no restaurants within walking distance. Had I known I would have booked another marina in the Panama City area. Emerald marina was fine, bathrooms, showers, and sturdy docks, just not what I had in mind.
I had a great stopover at Two George’s Marina, there are some very nice folks there! Good communication, good docks, Nice facilities, And a couple restaurants that are reasonable walking distance. I ate at the Greek restaurant, And took a Lyft back, about eight dollars. Would stop there again.
I really enjoyed my stay at Henry Harbor marina, they have new owners who are working very hard to improve the marina, due to low water we were tied at the rustic old block wall in the channel which was very well protected and I thought was really neat with stone block and rebar rings to tie to, they had porta potties, water and electric for us. This is all stated in their description so there were no surprises. Fran messaged several times, With pictures and a good description. Really enjoyed my time here would love to come back!
Wonderful marina, great location, great facilities, very nice touch to have the shuttle to drop you off in town, dockhands available 8am-6am, just odd not to have someone there In the morning at sunrise.
