Elizabeth and the rest of the staff are terrific! I spent five days in the dock office working on my laptop. I was able to experience their extraordinary efforts to accommodate all vessels, and to assist all customers in every way. They worked nonstop all day long. The facilities are very nice, offering many perks! Elizabeth and the rest deserve the utmost praise!

Good, except they located us at a dock then put another boat behind us blocking our early morning departure. We had to untie, unplug, then swap the boat locations the evening before departure. The reconnect the power. We were disappointed that laundry facilities were not available on site.

The facilities were very clean. The launch service was great. I cancelled my second night stay less than 24?hours before the deadline and, understandably, was not given a refund. However, Hinkley Southwest Harbor and Kittery Harbor both issued refunds under the same conditions. As the date I cancelled was on a holiday weekend I can’t believe that the mooring couldn’t be rented.

All of the marina facilities are neat and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. It has a wee stocked ships store and parts department. Also, drinks, ice cream and snacks are offered for sale. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant just a couple of blocks away, and there is a brewery immediately across the street from the marina, a Hannafords market is about 0.3 miles away. The location is preferable to staying in Portland, and it is a short ride from downtown Portland. We stayed here five years ago, and returned to find it is still a great place to stay.

Everything was fine, except the rollers rocked the boat at the dock quite a bit.

We stayed one night on a mooring. We originally signed up for two nights. However, immediately after signing up for two nights on Dockwa we received notification that dockage was available at another marina, so we cancelled our second night. Hinckley assured us that they would resolve any issue with cancelling the second night, if we had problems with Dockwa doing so. Dockwa promptly cancelled our second night right away and refunded our money. The mooring is in a location with much commercial and pleasure boat traffic creating a very rocky mooring, not Hinckley's fault.

Due to dock replacements in progress the fuel dock was shutdown, the pump out, and showers were periodically closed. The staff was exceptional. However, the service in the marina restaurant was nearly nonexistent, and there is a mandatory 18% service charge. The showers did not have any hooks or shelves which made placing clothes and other items difficult.

The facilities were clean and neat. The dockmaster kept me informed of my slip status, and was there to help me tie up as I arrived.
