Once again Scott proved to be invaluable to me upon my arrival Sat 6/17. It had been a day of scattered thunder storms and shortly before arriving the wind whipped up and anticipating my upcoming problems, Scott was waiting at my slip with helpers to help me. Unfortunately, I lost the battle to get into my assigned slip, bumped the boat next me, pulled out and Scott yelled to go to another slip wider and possibly easier to get into. Meanwhile he & helpers ran to that slip & were waiting again. As I finally got in he jumped on, grabbed my lines and went out on the bow to get the spring lines on while the helpers were taking care of the stern lines. 4 people were working while I held the boat as still as possible. It was amazing to watch and I couldn't have been more grateful to Scott & the others! To Scott it was just another part of his job to help his "guests". 👍 Thanks again Scott!
Loved the Marina's location, but by itself it could certainly use some updating, especially on the docks. However, they were floating which we always look for in a marina! "Dockhands" could certainly be upgraded! They saw their job as standing on dock to confirm that it's yours &catching the stern lines and then tying them up incorrectly. When I asked if they could help with the forward lines I was told we don't do that. One of them even asked me what a spring line was! 😲 Proximity to the town was great and provided nice choices for dining. And their association with the Hyatt is a wonderful thing. It gives you a swipe card so you have access to all the amenities they have. Loved the pool and pool side bar! 😁
As much as the food truck improves, we still miss the restaurant/bar. However, the weather & our slip assignment certainly made it a 5 star visit. Sat. was a weather perfect day. Sun. was pretty windy, but still another beautiful sunny day. Hoping for the same next weekend which we booked before leaving. Bill
Great secluded location that means calm waters all day and night! No ferries rocking us and a short walk into Westhampton town which is full of life & happenings in the summer. And I'd be remiss not to mention all the superb restaurants you'll find! Dockmaster Mike is great! 👍
We always enjoy this marina. We love it's location that's near enough to town so we can walk; A helpful dock master and great crew; a very nice pool area with snack bar & cocktails.
