Sag was nice to visit and the young dock hands were friendly and helpful but a couple of things made our stay unpleasant…worst was the rudest and most obnoxious launch driver who thought it was his place to interrupt a group of boaters chatting and relaxing to berate us on on our docking skills and to rudely state he would not put his fiberglass anywhere near us despite the fact we never used the launch service since we were docked. Note we all docked fine in the wind and current. It is interesting as well that he mentioned in his rant three times that he does not work for the town would lead me believe he definitely works for the town.. not only was he rude to us on the dock, but he also thought it appropriate to yell at us later in the day when we were in our dingy and no where here the dock. As for the reservation we had made a reservation for 6 boats in January and they were all accepted…an hour before our arrival I received a cell call from the marina asking us if we were coming which at which time I confirmed 6 boats were 1 hour out. Upon arrival all our slip assignments were changed and 2 boats on our group had to circle for 2 hours before being brought in despite open slips…not acceptable ….if slips were open they should not have people wait that long and waste gas and time circling the harbor
The marina staff was very helpful upon our arrival! They assisted with our docking and made sure we had our electrical and water hook ups. They were very friendly at the store and while checking in.
Friendly staff and a great location on the Mystic River. The restrooms were clean and we enjoyed the pool and deck area too. Great view from up on top of the pool house. We enjoyed using the grills and picnic tables too.
