Great marina with an organized and welcoming staff, they made our stay easy from beginning to end. The communication upfront was superb, we knew exactly how to get to the slip which made things easier. The docks are well maintained and clean, the facilities are clean and well maintained, a little older but that was no problem. The entire marina has great security, with card keys, the local residents all look out for each other too. The train is a short walk, there is a West Marine nearby and a restaurant in the marina too. Everything we needed was easily available and we appreciated the quiet, park-like location.

This is quite a charming and convenient spot in Olympia, I can’t give it more than three stars, but it’s certainly worth a visit. There are two docks, as described by the city website, E dock and F dock. The city should provide a simple map, that would be helpful. I found a map on the S/V Adventuress website which showed that these are side-tie linear docks. Upon arrival, if you’re there during normal business hours, you can register in the Olympia building, a short walk away. The person there was very helpful and nice. He provided the shower code and took our payment. I should add, the Marina is extremely inexpensive. The best part of the marina is its proximity to downtown, it’s right there! You have access to the farmer’s market, the many restaurants and shops, the state capitol and many great walks and sites without a long walk from the other major marina in Olympia. Among the other amenities, there’s 30 amp power and fresh potable water and the marina is very protected. The bathrooms are, challenging. The showers are very clean, well appointed with a changing area, the water was warm and I had a great shower. The men’s room, unfortunately, has obvious challenges, there are no doors on the men’s room stalls and there’s a convenient needle box right next to the stall for those that use the bathroom for other than its intended purpose. The women’s room stalls do have doors, it’s worth mentioning. So, it’s a mixed bag. If you’re willing to put up with a little bit of inconvenience, just use the facilities on your own boat, and you’re okay with being literally downtown, with all that brings (positive and negative) then you won’t be surprised. We had a good time, I’m not sure if I’d be back though. I hope the city can provide secured bathrooms for mooring visitors and maybe just a little more security at the docks, and it would definitely be a four star destination.
