I was surprised that the dockmaster Ben was there when we arrived. He made sure the electric was all good before he left for the day. Location is awesome. It can get rolly on the T-dock, but was surprised as it wasn't bad at all. Note that there are not showers, but the public restrooms you are directed to use were VERY clean.
People were very nice and helpful; bathrooms are individual toilet/shower units, so privacy is good. Located a short walk from the old port and the touristy areas.
Harbormaster was very helpful. Mooring was priced reasonably. Town is nice; best Lobster bisque at Wharf Mill. Note: there is no tender, so you have to have a dinghy if using one of these moorings.
It took a while to figure out where the mooring ball was. A map to the mooring field would have been helpful. Otherwise, the moorings were in good shape. Island is fun to explore.
Great "vacation" spot; lots of showers and clean bathrooms. Large pool and beach on premises. Restaurant and bar, fuel, pumpout, ice all convenient. The staff was outstanding. Site is large with lots of amenities. Some were still opening such as the coffee shop and ice cream hut. Taxis await to take you into town or to the bluffs and lighthouse. Even though we were there on "Race Weekend", the service was great. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun, "all-inclusive" feel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours and just tied up to the dock. The restaurant manager, Patrick, gave us the bathroom code and helped us out. We got situated the next day; the staff were very nice and accommodating. The attached restaurant is upper-end and the food was delicious. There is only one shower per gender which made getting ready in the morning a little inconvenient. I would likely stay here should I visit again.
The staff were great; restaurants very close by. Walking distance to town and the glass museum. Bathrooms were clean, but there is only one shower per gender and the hot water goes fast. Fuel and pumpout on premises. Overall a nice experience and a perfect place to spend the night waiting for current to navigate the Cape Cod Canal.
Mooring balls looked well maintained. Very cool views ashore as well as open access to explore the fort. Looking forward to going back. Seas were quieter than at Peddocks.
Great location, super clean (and I mean super clean) bathrooms and showers. Free pumpout, free laundry, water and electric included, and awesome staff. I hate to recommend it because they have limited space and want to make sure I get a spot next time I go! Staff was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about navigating in and out as the Merrimack river is very challenging. The only downside is that there is no locked gate between the dock and shore, but there is a lot of activity which basically polices the place. Lots of things to walk to and do; steps away from the park and great restaurants.
