After taking my boat to the worst marina known to mankind I found Bert Jabins Yacht Yard and boy was I happy. Truly professional people had no problem having me around to see how the work progressed and very friendly. Only one small complaint, I think their accounting system is automatic as I did not use the electric hookups yet was charged daily for them, a quick trip to the office and it was made right. I would highly recommend this yard for any work you're having done on your boat, first-class people!
It's an old marina and a bit run down, but the people and the yard manager Dave and his dog Candy make up for it. Great location in Fells Point and a great marina if you're a liveaboard, they don't charge you an arm and a leg for every little thing. They have mailboxes, a laundry room, and shower facilities. If I was to ever be a liveaboard again and chose to live in Baltimore this is the place I would go.
This was my marina for several years. Amazing place and amazing people. Beautiful resort atmosphere, very chill and laid back a great place to relax and enjoy the area. There are also several vendors and a West Marine on site along with a great reseturant! I no longer have my slip here but when I am an the area I always stop by.
My sailboat is currently there for unstepping of the mast. It seems to be too much trouble for the staff to give me a courtesy call as to when they will be performing the work. I've never seen a mast removed and would like to watch. As of today I can not recommend this marina, hopefully they will get their collective heads out of their four points of contacts. I will update this review if the communications get better but so far I rate this marina with a big D-
