My wife daughter and I were caught in the hurricane this past weekend. Our boat name is "Knotnormal". We were originally only scheduled to be there for one night. We ended up there for three nights. We want to thank you for being able to accommodate us and being so friendly. We specifically want to thank all of your regular slip holders on Catalina pier. They welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They are all great people and will be friends for a long time to come. Could you please thank all of them for us. We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at Kent Narrows, which is part of Wells Cove Marina, and found it a really first class experience. The view from our room was spectacular, and the room was exceptionally comfortable. Our boat was in a slip virtually right below our balcony, and we were able to walk to the Bridge Restaurant for a couple of 5 star dinners. We definitely plan to return by car for a longer stay!
We recently had lunch at Hemingway's and were bowled over by the new construction, the new menu and new service. The view is breathtaking, both looking over this gorgeous marina or over the Bay, and the interior is spacious and airy, while still allowing for cosy intimacy. The menu offers traditional Chesapeake Bay favorites, but every weekend the Chef's creativity really shines with specials built around what's fresh and interesting. The cream of crab was so good! As for the marina, we were really impressed with the new floating docks-- no more splinters! This is a great place to visit or keep one's boat-- strategically located, great restaurant, great facilities.
