Short quarter mile walk to restaurants and and beautiful walkways to the swimming beach adjacent to the marina. Best time we've had at any marina in our 9 years of boating. Water approach and marinas depth is deep. Great sea wall protection. You won't find a better background view at any other marina in NY, not even in Fire Island. Check out the Ocean House for seafood and the Piato Greek restaurant. Marina provides you with a digital welcome packet that contains great maps and lots of info. Don't miss the Croton Dam and it's waterfalls next door.
Never again - Still waiting for the refund of my overfilled stay. Safe Harbor is the wrong name. Should be not so safe harbor. The worn out aluminum docks put major gouges in my hull, despite me putting out every fender we had. The hot metal dock was well over 130 degrees in the sun and my service dog couldn't stand walking anywhere on the docks. The docks are barely lit, and the walk to the run down restrooms was atrocious. Over half a mile. The town of Haverstraw is a ghetto. We went here since the marina we were trying to get into was overbooked for the night. There is nothing to do at this marina. Wifi not offered either. Would never return here.
