Peace and tranquility. Good docks and staff. Incredible setting. The Inn is nice but needs routine maintenance, cleaning and landscape keeping. Great food in the restaurant.
No VHF contact, therefore have to call office. Dock hand was uningaged, disinterested, and incompetent. Our 60 ft finger pier was TOTALLY covered with duck feces. Many dock boards were rotten and some were totally broken through leaving large holes. No security. After we flagged down the owner, Mark, he agreed to listen to our concerns and said he was "unaware of the issues" even though he was walking on the main dock as we flagged him. We cleaned off the duck dung (40 minutes) and, to the owners credit, he had 14 dock boards replaced the next morning. We visit 25 to 30 marinas a year and this was one of the worst run operation we have encountered.
Top notch marina in all respects. Also, the on-site mobile service is incredible - Reid and Larry (Electrician) are both professional, helpful and friendly.

Nice marina with great manager and dock hands, but the price is too high for after Labor Day.
We spent 6 wonderful days at Chicks Marina. The staff are all professional and personal. We were last at this marina in 2018 and were not pleased with the service or friendliness of the place. It was clear that they needed a management change. Their new manager, Amy, has done a remarkable job of creating an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend!
No electricity, unstable and dangerously old floating dock, EXTREMELY rough in the marina - at times over 2 foot waves - from passing boats. There is not a "No Wake" buoy. This marina is unsuitable for any vessel over 35 feet. On the good side, Ben, the dock guy, was very proficient. We had a reservation for 4 nights - stayed only one night and will never return.
Too shallow, too noisy with "thunder" boats and drunk patrons, terrible communication with boaters, reserved slip was not available upon arrival although I called in advance, no marina knowledgeable person on duty day of departure until 1100 - needed directions of how to best migrate out of the very shallow marina.
