The staff were very nice and helpful, but we did not really enjoy our stay and won't be back. We were put in the 'beach facing' dock in front of the bigger ships facing the beach which put us 15 ft from the sand. As the weather changed - we got tossed around pretty good as the waves build up right under us before hitting the beach. Constantly had to keep re-adjusting fenders and still got a few dents on our 50ft.
Also the 'beach dock' is a hike to the bathrooms - you have to walk on the main road without a sidewalk as it is not connected to the main marina facilities. And then - even as the description said there is pump-out services - when we asked - they said they don't offer it.
The proximity of the shopping center across the street was nice.
Thank you so much for your review. We are sorry you were unhappy with your stay. Most vessels that stay with us request that dock, because it is closer to town and away from the busy fuel dock. Most of our guests that are staying on vessels 45’+ usually do not make use of our restrooms, so I am sorry that we did not make that easier for you as we should have asked if you would make use of them. We endeavor to make your stay with us as comfortable and safe as possible. Most vessels chose to move to moorings that we had offered, an option offered to you as well. The entire harbor is vulnerable to high winds out of the Northeast, most vessels staying in the harbor that weekend at all the marinas moved to moorings. Our town provides a complimentary pump-out boat for any vessel that requests it. Our pump-out facility is used as a receptacle for those vessels. It is fully functional and is available to any of our marina guests, though it is purely self-serve. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience.
