Great experience with Rick and his team at Norseman Ship Building. Very professional team, excellent communication, great advice and a job well done. Definitively will reuse for my next work.

I was surprised by sloppy unprofessional service. First, I was surprised by invoice amount, then told they needed CASH or wire transfer NEXT DAY. This was not a trivial amount I was lucky to be able to comply. Second, I paid for propeller shaft straightening, but there is wobble on port side propeller shaft at dripless housing (it is obvious compared to the starboard which is dead on). I had specifically asked for 2x backup seals on each shaft--there is only 1x per shaft. Third, upon picking up boat, there was small black debris covering the rear sundeck carpet. Surprising to me since I had paid for polish, brightwork and wash and assumed this meant I would have a clean boat. Since receipt of boat, I have personally rewaxed several “missed” or “scuffed” locations and either the brightwork was not done altogether, or was done so poorly it might as well have not been done. Fourth, the interior and carpet have new marks, oil, and grease shadowing that now has to be addressed.

My experience was very disappointing. Much of the work was sloppy and I had bring the vessel back to be hauled again for and even then not all the mending and remediation was done as promised. I would not do business with them again. I suggest that anyone thinking of using them check for other reviews or ask around for other boater’s experiences if they want corroboration beyond the above.
