About

Situated just east of Marker 49 on the Okeechobee Waterway is Legacy Harbour Marina. Its central location along the Caloosahatchee River makes it the ideal spot for stopovers or extended stays. Just a few blocks from the historic Edison & Ford Winter Estates and just a short walk from the diverse nightlife of downtown Fort Myers, Legacy Harbour Marina is both a safe haven and a safe bet for those looking to make the most of their visit.

Approach

Legacy Harbour Marina is located on the Okeechobee Waterway, 17 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. If you are heading east, pass Marker #49, turn at the White Marina Flag on the piling. Leave the flag to starboard and proceed to the end of the breakwater, taking a 130 degree course. Turn right into the Marina. If you are heading west after passing the Caloosahatchee Bridge, turn left before the Marina Flag on the piling, leave the flag to starboard and proceed on a 130 degree course to the end of the breakwater. Turn right into the Marina. The Okeechobee River depths to the marina run eight and a half feet at MLW. The bottom is composed of ‘soft mud’. Vessels up to 120 feet can maneuver within the Marina and can be accommodated with side-tie moorage. Call us at 239-461-0775 for more details.

May 23rd 2011 As British boaters new to cruising in Florida, it was luck which brought us to Legacy Harbour Marina. Three years on, we still consider ourselves fortunate to be mooring our boat year round in this beautifully maintained and friendly haven. Initially attracted by the sturdy floating docks and pump out at every slip, we’ve discovered other amenities including the heated swimming pool, spotlessly clean facilities, a gym, laundry facilities, an air-conditioned lounge plus complimentary wi-fi and cable television make Legacy Harbour a real home from home. Helpful and friendly staff offer a courteous and efficient service and the public areas are always immaculately kept. We also appreciate the ways in which the management listen to any suggestions from boaters and are always looking for (and effecting) ways to improve and update the amenities. Legacy Harbour is also sited in a most convenient location. A five minute walk brings us to historic Down Town Fort Myers boasting a host of bars and restaurants (often featuring live entertainment) plus a beautiful period theatre, all situated in an area of classic art deco architecture. Five minutes in the other direction and we have a brilliant Publix supermarket. What more could you want from a marina?
