Reserved room and dock months in advance. Arrived 11/23 and was told rooms had no hot water; plumbing under repair. Given an alternate building location between A1A and the rock band. Moved back to original room w/no hot water on Friday due to very loud band. TV in room did not work. Could not get Xfinity channels. Staff could not fix. Rooms are in need of serious updating. Some garbage left by previous guest. Front desk staff clearly in need of some "hospitality" training. They were not very welcoming. The Marina was decent with a slightly more friendly staff. We will never return to this resort.

Dockmaster was professional and knew had the local knowledge. Docks are fixed and with a fast current from the Fort. Pierce inlet. Good Tiki bar restaurant just next door with good staff and live music.

The marina was nice. Bait and ice prices were great. The staff was very helpful. Brody saved our bacon coming in to the marina during a storm. The tides definitely rip through the area and docking was an adventure. Not a great spot if you are inexperienced as we are. The pools were well maintained and the restaurant onsite had great food.

Excellent modern marina with newly constructed heavy-duty docks on Fort Pierce, FL inlet. Inn and restaurant on premises. On the ocean side of the AICW, Dockside South Hutchinson Island is like living on a Key. Palm tree lined street leading to the ocean with bars, restaurants, food market, and other services within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.

Nice marina. Only downside is fixed docks which can make it difficult getting on and off the boat during low tide. The tide really rips here, which in itself isn’t an issue. But I can see floating docks being out of the question. It’s just the nature of the location. Bigger high deck boats won’t have a problem. Lower sleek deck boats, a bit more work. Hospitality was fantastic!

Best pictures but nothing in real life. Pool is from a Motel 20 which is if you numbered them 1 through 20, 20 would be the lowest. Same for the restrooms and showers. VERY expensive and not worth it. Does not have cleats, which becomes weird for your lines. Currents are super fast and very hard to get off dock, everyone is expert. They took advantage of the holidays I paid $256 per night at 60ft. Just say NO.

Marina Response:
In response to unhappy Doug B - as far the pricing we do not have holiday pricing - same price year around. The email you received through Dockwa on 5/23/23 read Doug B - I requested a dock slip due to engine problems I only have 1 engine. DockMaster - All I have is a t head no slips. The t head is $4 a foot per day plus tax and electric let me know. Doug B - yes I will take it. Dock Master - ETA? Doug B - 3 to 4pm weather dependent. Dock Master - okay. Now to the pool that you used everyday with no complaints and the same with the restrooms and showers - no complaints. All was fine when we were helping you find someone to repair your engine - no complaints then. The only thing I agree with is that we do have a strong current as do many other marinas ups and down the coast but most good Captains have no problem docking and tying up their vessel. So the next time you are in the area we are going to take your advice and we will say no. Thank you.

This Marnia has been our winter port for two seasons. The Dock masters Cammie and Joe are wonderful. The current runs here but its easy to plan for slack tide coming and going. Plus they are very accommodating when you need to move the boat. There is a nice restaurant steps away and a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommended Dockside Marina and Resort

On our way north we booked a night at this marina and it ended being a week due to weather. The owners are hands on and we’re very accommodating. Cammie answers questions and messages quickly and makes you feel welcome. We will certainly stay here again if the need arises.

This family run marina is easy to work with. Has a great atmosphere, and a very clean space. They have new docks and the Harbour Master, Cammie is fantastic to work with. They have a bait shop right at the marina. If staying in this area check them out. Reasonable pricing too.

GREAT MARINA! We have lived on our boat for 2 years now, marina-hopping our way around the Free State of Florida and Dockside Marina is our FAVORITE Marina by FAR! It's small enough to be cozy, but large enough to support its lovely facilities. Even though we're a small fish surrounded by mega yachts, we are treated like welcome guests. There's always something to do, including chatting with the happy folks fishing on the special fishing docks. You're a walk or bike ride away from anything you may need. There's a small private beach, clean restrooms and laundry. Mail is easily handled by the front desk. We love it here!

Let me start by saying the couple that runs this marina are some of the nicest and most accommodating people I've ever met. In fact when I was having my boat moved by a 3rd party, they refused them entry to the dock (even though they had a key) until they verified it with me by phone! Just amazing!!!! They have amazing local knowledge and in fact told me the published tide tables were off by hours... I must admit that I was highly skeptical of this until there was a 2.5 knot current running at what was published slack tide!!! Will be back and thank you!!!!!

I write this review with a sour taste in my mouth. I’ve always enjoyed stays at this marina. What happened was quite simply a one day slip in my schedule due to a need for repairs. We’ve all been there. The problem is that my request fell under the 72 hour cancellation policy. The request was a few hours short of that minimum. I did not request a refund only a credit for a future date. I was flatly refused, repeatedly. I found the lack of consideration for a customer inappropriate. Message: do not violate and marina rules, they are unforgiving at this marina.

Dockside was a welcome surprise when all the others in Florida were full and unable to accomodate us. The docks have been very well done recently, the team is friendly and helpful. Be watchful of the strong currents through here so come in at slack. Be ready with lines, fenders, and crew. Stand of the current here differs significantly from high/low tide cycle, so check your navionics for the current change, not the high/low tide cycle. Otherwise check with the dockmaster before planning arrival to be sure of best times.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel although a little older was spotless!! Bed was comfortable. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Location was walking distance to a few different dining options so if coming by boat you can still eat out without other transportation.

We just spent 5 nights at Dockside Marina and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The docks were in excellent condition; the marina staff -- Dockmasters Cammie and Capt Joe, dockhand Robbie -- were friendly and very helpful; the docks were secure (gated access and a security guard that patrolled the area throughout the evening); the two pools were refreshing after a long day on our boat; the views were amazing from the docks; and the marina showers for those of us staying on boats were very clean. We ate at the tiki bar one evening and the wait staff were friendly and the food was generous and tasty for the price. All around, it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back. I have one word of caution for fellow boaters: be aware that the current RIPS through the inlet and thus the marina slips. Slack tide is 2-2.5 hours AFTER the tide charts. If you're not an experienced captain, make sure to time your arrival/departure with slack tide and make sure you have plenty of docklines to secure your bow, stern, and spring lines. We thought we were arriving at slack tide but were blissfully unaware of the 2 hour delay. Regardless, our dockhand Robbie helped us bring our 37' boat into the slip with no bumps or bruises. After the first arrival, the two of us were easily able to maneuver in and out of our slip over the next several days by timing our day to the slack tide. Don't let the current deter you -- this property is DEFINITELY worth the visit. (One suggestion for the Resort Manager: the icing on the cake would be a small fan in the marina showers. Granted we were staying at the peak of summer but the shower rooms were a bit warm, even while taking a cool shower. May I also suggest a shelf to place a toiletry bag while showering.)

The worst customer service , no place to park boat trailer and was told I wasn’t allowed to utilize the hotels amenities even though they advertise full use with dock slip. People fishing off the dock while marina employees watching them do it. The most unfriendly bunch of marina employees I have ever come in contact with. They all need a customer service overhaul.

Friendly Dockhands and staff ... close to a few restaurants and bars... clean showers and nice pool area... docks are not floating so can get tricky to climb on and off your boat ... also current rips through the marina so need to time your approach and departure at slack tide ... would definitely stay again

This is the second time we have stayed at Dockside Marina and Resort. We stayed for about 5 weeks in Spring 2020. It is little pricey for a one-night stay. The current, which we knew about, makes it VERY difficult to dock safely. Luckily we were on a T head and some staff was there to help - very tricky. The docks are new, but not floating. We would return, but think their pricing is alittle high for transients.

Dockmaster put us at a slip that was not suitable for a 90 ft vessel. Would not give clear information over phone, once arrived, had to launch tender to make stern line off to piling that was 50 feet away from stern. This line blocked in the vessel in the slip next to us. Awful slip that should have never been rented.

If you like bull riding, this is your marina! The location is in the crosshairs of Ft. Pierce Inlet, andTHE CURRENT RIPS THRU THE ENTIRE MARINA. We had planned on a multi-month stay but left, barely, after 3 days. (we tried to leave after 2 days but the current was too vigorous to depart safely, so we were charged for a third day when we finally got out of there past "checkout time.") On the positive side, the docks are all new, and fixed, and the security gates robust. However, docking was a nightmare due to the water flow. ONE older fellow was there to help us on arrival and was useless. We were pinned against the dock until the tide turned and we resolved our situation on our own. Did I say THE CURRENT RIPS THRU THE ENTIRE MARINA? They are woefully understaffed as to offer any real assistance, and when we departed, the front office was locked and of no help, save for the same ONE older "dockmaster" who we did better without. The wifi did not work and the bathrooms, and the vibe, were as described by Reeloriginal in his 9/30 review. Let the number of empty slips be your guide! Look elsewhere for safe and professional marina services. Did I say THE CURRENT RIPS THRU THE ENTIRE MARINA?

New docks are nice, but that’s about it! The dockhands were helpful, which was nice considering the ripping current from the marina being basically in the inlet. Also, there are no marina bathrooms/showers. We were told to use the tiki bar bathroom, which is a single person use bathroom, at a busy bar... not a clean place just by virtue of the weekend bar crowd! As stated, the dockhands were great, but after multiple attempts to hail on channel 16, we were forced to call on the landline. The woman we spoke to gave us a slip assignment and hung up- no clue which dock or side or location. When we called back she gave some major attitude, as if she was doing us a favor getting us a slip at a completely empty marina (there were 4 other boats total in the entire facility)! And don’t get caught with a cup or drink from anywhere but the bar- my wife got a stern talking to after we got the boat secured for walking to the marina office with a yeti cup. I wish it was a better marina and experience, but it’s not. Do yourself a favor and go to ANY of the other marinas close by.

This was my second time visiting the Dockside Resort. I found the stay very enjoyable. The shortcoming is the small fee a second vehicle to park. My son n law met me at the hotel later in my stay due to schedules. He was charged $10.00 to park at the hotel as a second vehicle. The new owner and staff are to be complimented on their service and attention to updating the rooms and amenities. The dock system is second to none and offers water and electric at your slip. We will be back again. The place is always busy, so book in advance as much as possible. A special thank you to Lois for her outstanding service and " Being the Difference" in my stay.
