We stopped at Half Moon both on our way up to Lake Chaplain and on our return voyage down the Hudson. The nearby train station and rental car office made it a convenient location to visit nearby friends and NYC.
The marina is located in a bay with a wave wall that limits wind and wave action from the river. This is an important feature not enjoyed by many marinas along the river.
Shoreside facilities are shared with the private workout room but the heads and showers are limited but clean. The walking and biking trail along the shore provides an opportunity to get some exercise.
We found Steve, the manager, to be very helpful and made he very effort to make certain we had a nice stay at this marina.
