Approach

**From the South:** Pass under the Richmond-San Rafael bridge sailing due north. Be careful of a number of barges and large metal buoys scattered around. Head for Green Channel Marker No. 17, Fl. G. 4S. 15Ft 6M, coordinates 37o 57'425 N. 122o 27' 421 W. This is the entrance to the San Rafael Canal which is dredged to 6' MLLW, (2002) is approximately 30 feet wide. The channel runs on a course of 280° Magnetic and is marked by green channel markers, which are numbered 1-7. Caution ... Keep the Green channel markers to the Port side of your boat, as there are no “red, right, return” channel markers. Pass marker #3 and just before #5 turn right into our entrance channel, which has big Pilings on both Port and Starboard. **From the North:** Follow the San Pablo Strait going southwest. Pass between the Sisters and Brothers islands situated respectively outside Point San Pedro to the west and Point San Pablo to the east. Be aware of a large number of barges and metal Buoys scattered in the San Rafael Bay which is very shallow. Head for Green Channel Marker No. 17, Fl. It is usually hidden amongst all the barges and buoys. Use your GPS or chart plotter to find it. - Green Marker 17 at the center. Chart No. 18649. Depths are in feet.

Clean, nice and has Andy's Market!

A nice sunny destination when San Francisco is foggy. An upscale market and deli located right at the marina. Beware the entrance channel at low tide though, we saw depths of just five feet.

Cost more than doubled from last year. Refused to allow us to use restroom and showers after paying $71. Made us go online and download applications and mess with all sorts of lame questions about beam length, etc., while bouncing around and being thrown back and forth out on the water. We had to wait for a call telling us if the Marina would "allow" us to stay while dealing with crashing waves and trying to figure out a plan B if they turned us away. The marine office knew nothing about their own Marina. We had questions about the channel markers leading to the Marina. She didn't know what we were talking about. There was no warning about how to best handle the wind and current so we couldn't dock where we were supposed to. Where she told us to first go was impossible. So we ended up at the Club dock and it was so choppy that I litterally got sea sick while docked at a marina.... unheard of!!! One of the dock clets was so loose it would pull up then loudly smash back down on the dock. We needed to get off the horrible conditions on the dock because it was making me sick so we went to the store which was unbelievably over priced. The chairs outside unbelievably un comfortable. There was no warning about the low tide conditions for leaving. The tide got so low we were churning up mud all over the place and we only have a 3 foot draft. We were amazed that they don't have gas when they have gas pumps right there.
