Amelia Island Marina is a full-service marina situated north of the Shave Bridge at ICW Mile Marker 721, shielded from the main waterway and approximately 4.5 miles south of the inlet. Our recently completed six-month dredging project has resulted in a water depth range of 6ft at mean low tide to 11ft at mean high tide, allowing us to accommodate for vessels with a deeper draft. The marina has 130 wet slips and 200 dry slips, along with a service yard complemented by a 50-ton travel lift. Through our valet service, our dry storage customers can request restocking from our ship store and refueling to ensure a hassle-free departure. Transient vessels are welcome to use our courtesy cars to access historic Amelia Island which is only 5 minutes away. The marina also offers, laundry centers, bathrooms, and an onsite restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you to Windward Amelia Island Marina!
Very nice marina, pretty view and nice restaurant with good live music. This is a good marina if you don't need a lot of help with docking. We never saw any marina staff, they did tell us if we needed help to call, which we didn't. Long walk to bath/shower facilities. Also, the slip we were assigned to had a boat in it when we arrived, luckily the slip next to it was empty and we were told there shouldn't be a boat in the slip we were told to use, but to go ahead and use any open slip. All in all we would happily stay here again.
Great clean and quiet stop. Good depth and calm area.
We arrived late afternoon to a very friendly staff. Brook did a great job helping us with fueling and docking the boat. Courtesy car was a real plus!
Still haven’t recovered from Storm damage. Paper towels stuffed into rotten holes in wood window frames. Pump-out is out of service. No paper towels in rest rooms that are inadequately lighted. These acquired marinas evidently don’t benefit from acquiring companies deeper pockets, as might be expected. Charging Dockage rates equivalent to better marinas is objectionable.
We made our reservations about an hour before arrival and we were given the choice of 2 slips, side by side. As we would be arriving after closing, there would be no help available and the wind was strong. Upon arrival, both slips were occupied and we had to back out of the fareway, we saw that there was a slip available on another dock but by taking it were we messing up another reservation? We took it. The slips are narrow (at least in the area we were in) so broad beamed boats should clearly ask about the beam of the slip assigned. We did not utilize the laundry room or bath house so I will assume they are in average condition. This marina and the entry channel are quite shallow if you venture a speck outside of the channel or away from the T-heads. All in all, I would return here but I would be sure to arrive early so a dockhand can confirm slip availability. Second, I would return knowing to expect the basics and be pleasantly surprised if my expectations are exceeded.
