Nice marina , but they are remodeling and most amenities are not available. No showers or laundry and restrooms close at 5 pm. They should charging half price for a overnight stay .

Staff was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Easy on and off the dock. My favorite place to stop before and after capefear.

No showers and the bathrooms lock up at 5:00 pm and open again at 7:00 am. Little inconvenience. Other than that nice stay.

I had an excellent stay very professional staff that went above and beyond to help. A tropical storm hit while here, it was very well protected. The on-site restaurant/bar has amazing food. I will definitely be staying here again

Even before our arrival we knew this was a wonderful marina. We had sent packages of parts to the marina to be there upon our arrival. Scam texts had us fretting our packages were unable to be delivered, but "Hope" in the office, assured us they were arriving. A wonderful welcome of friendly helpful dock hands upon our arrival. Met some of the other sailors and wow, the boating community are amazing people :) Shower was hot and had wonderful pressure. Josephs Italian Bistro was delicious :) Used Billy's Ride Sharing, which was prompt and pleasant as I got a ride to the Food Lion to provision. The dock set up (long dock) was easy arrival and departure. Did experience quite a brisk current one morning.

Really nice place with good facilities, clean showers and knowledgeable staff. We will stay there again.

Dock hands were excellent. Laundry area and baths are nothing to write home about but water pressure was fabulous and laundry was $1.50 to wash and dry. Overall, a very positive experience. Would definitely stop here again.

Ian and Pete were very helpful and nice. We needed propane and they took us to get a refill. The restaurants on site are very good.

Jack got always being willing to help. The 2 Brads and Andy for the quick responses to any requests including the dreaded pumpouts! All dockhands were.very helpful getting on and off docks. Facilities were good with 2 restaurants on site and many others close by. Hope to see you all again next year.

Had a great stay, two nights, at the marina. The dock help is the best, they are not only very capable and helpful but friendly too. The Rusty Hook Restaurant is perfect for a casual meal and drink. All the facilities are very clean. Right on the ICW means no windy, shallow canal to enter. Will definitely stay again.

The service was unbelievable!! Three very competent and friendly guys met us and helped us tie up. On top of that they gave us a ride to the grocery store which was too far too walk. If your stars went to 10 that is what i would give them!!

Great crew at the marina. They can have a lot of current going by, and they always get you on and off the dock safely, and with a smile. Piers in great shape and two restaurants on site. Short walk to a rental car place also if you need one.

This the best marina we’ve stated at. The dock crew is by far the best. We needed groceries and they drove us to the grocery store. I can’t say enough about the staff here. There are also two restaurants within the marina. If you are traveling through Southport on the ICW, you won’t be disappointed stopping here.

Ian and team were fantastic. They were so nice every time we spoke to them or asked for anything. Ian went above and beyond when the life jacket we ordered for our grandson was delayed. He grabbed one from his house and let us borrow it for the day. They made the stay wonderful. Thanks!

Great location and very helpful and friendly team. I am familiar with the waters but the dockmaster gave an excellent run down of things to watch for both in the marina and in surrounding area. Nice clean facilities.

Made a last minute decision to stay the night, Rather than anchor out. The doc master helped remover our boat in and familiarize us with the marina. Add a wonderful dinner at the Italian restaurant.

This is a really nice Marina. Docks and Power Pedestals in excellent condition. Staff is excellent, and 2 great Restaurants on site. Would give 5 stars, but docking is on outside of Linear dock, and ignorant Boaters passing by Rock the Heck out of you!

Very nice modern marina with helpful staff. I had an issue with their brand-new ELCI Power Pedestals tripping with my power cord. The dock staff was very helpful in finding a resolution. Very rocky due to wake from passing boats not slowing down, and showers lack privacy and could use a good de-grunging.

Ian, the Dockmaster and his crew were excellent. Fuel right at our slip. Southport village was very nice to see.

Ian (Dock Master) and crew could not have been more helpful. We came into the marina in high winds. Ian guided us through the inlet and had us safely secured without a problem. We ended up having a current issue with the boat when leaving in the am-Ian came in (early) to help us get out of a tough situation safely. He and his team r personable and professional-we r truly grateful for alll they did for us while we were there.

Ian and the crew are top notch. They really knew what they were doing when we came in during high winds and a strong current. The facilities are nice and convenient to the docks. There are two very good restaurants right off the grounds and a gorgeous park about 1/4 mile away. Town is a short drive away, which is a bit tricky. No Ubers around and sporadic taxi availability. Not walkable. The current was strong when we left at 6am the next morning and our friends got sideways and wedged against three boats. The crew came to the rescue and pulled them off with their workboat. They refused tips offered by our friends. We would stay here again.

Very nice marina. Bathrooms very clean. 2 nice restaurants near. Ian, the dock master, was very nice and helpful, along with the other dock staff. Ian went out of his way to help us.

The Marina was easy access off the ICW and the dock workers were top notch. They were right there to catch the lines and helped us get off the dock when we left in the wind. They all were very nice. The Marina itself had no ice and no ship store. There were 2 restaurants on the property itself but nothing else around there that was within walking distance. Would stay here again as long as no provisions were needed.

Nice marina, face dock so a little rocking from inexperienced boaters. The marina is well maintained with all the amenities required except one a courtesy car. This is a common issue with Safe Harbor. The good part of safe harbor marinas is it is easy booking and you know the marina will be in good condition.

Very nice dock personnel and docks. No boaters lounge and bath house was adequate. Showers never got hot, but the area was heated!

Ian and his staff are top notch with excellent customer service. So much so that we made the decision after a 4 day ocean run with a not so great weather window going forward to leave our boat at the marina for the winter. A great place to stay with a great town and restaurants to visit. People are very friendly and the marina staff goes above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We will enjoy coming back during the winter!

Ian and his staff run a great marina! The service is first class. We had to change our dates many times and they made it easy. Very accommodating. You feel at home. We were on the face dock and wakes were minimal. Fueling and pump out at your tie up. Very easy. We hope to make this a regular stop on the way north and the way south. And Southport is a great place to spend some time as well!

Docks and facilities are in top notch condition. Staff was helpful and friendly. Very easy stop along the ICW.

I was a little surprised about the $10 fee for a pump out, but the staff was very friendly and helped my dock and tie up. I stayed a month for the monthly rate and they are petty cool about leaving a day later if the weather demands it.

We enjoyed staying at Safe Harbor South Village. We extended our stay to let TS Nicole pass to our west. The staff and operations are competent, helpful and professional. New modern floating docks are very secure. The bathrooms and showers need updating however understand they are not under SH control. We would visit again.

South Harbor Village Marina was great from start to finish, plus the personnel there work over and above to make sure everything is right. They were prompt in confirming our reservation. The team was on the dock to get us tied up, registered, fueled promptly and answer any questions. Joseph's Restaurant at the end of the dock was the perfect Italian restaurant for a full day on the ocean. Definitely a \"go-To\" destination.

The dockmaster and staff were very helpful. Because of impending severe weather, we requested arriving a day early and staying an extra day. No problem. When we had an issue with the dock pedestal power, the dock master issued us a refund for the electric usage.\nNot sure if there is a captain's lounge with coffee, book library etc. That would be nice. The shower facilities could use a bit of updating and expansion, but then I am spoiled with my home marina's facilities.

We had a great stay at Safe Harbor South Harbour Marina while waiting out T/S Nicole. From the initial call to inquire about availability through to our departure, the staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. Brad, Ian, Todd, and the woman in the office (whose name I cannot remember) were welcoming and helpful. The dock was brand new and rebuilt with very sturdy looking pilings. We felt safe and secure during several days of high winds and rain. The laundry and bathroom facilities were clean and worked well. Laundry cost $1.50 per load and the machines worked well. Thank you for a great stay. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely consider treating ourselves to a stay at Safe Harbor South Harbour marina.

Our stay was one of the best marina experiences we've had to date. It's a great facility, well maintained and in a fairly protected area. The highlight by far is Ian the dock master and his crew. They are super helpful, amazingly professional and went out of their way to accommodate us and a number of other boats who rode out the impacts of Hurricane Nicole. Ian constantly checked on dock lines and boats, made sure people had extra lines and fenders in right places, offered suggestions about wind and current and generally were their answering questions before they could be asked. A wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Great location! Dock crew was excellent, very attentive. Restrooms, showers were a bit of a disappointment. Two shower stalls in a common bathroom with sink, toilet and urinal. No potential for privacy.

This is one of the nicest marinas along the ICW. Friendly, immaculate and two nice restaurants right on site. Our third stop here and we will be back!

Super nice, well kept and clean marina and always the best dockhands on the ICW. Ian is super attentive and there bell to bell. A walk down the dock takes you to Joseph’s which is arguably one of the best restaurants anywhere.

On our way back to Charleston, SC from Beaufort, NC. Bob and crew were great! During your stop, check out Joseph's. A wonderful Italian restaurant on site.

This is a great stop on the ICW. The docks are wonderful, in slip pump out, great bathrooms and laundry. Rural setting, but restaurant on site, and 2.5 mile bike ride to grocery store, banks and pharmacies. Gated marina in a residential area. The dockhands were awesome!

This was an overnight stop for us. We were greeted with two men ready to help as the currents can be ripping. They got us in safely, helped with ropes and a pump out. The marina has decent showers including an ADA bathroom and nice laundry.

Martin, the dock master was great! He was easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. A relief from a distressing trip the previous couple of days on the water. Easy to pull up to fuel dock. Facilities were nice but could use some air conditioning in the laundry room.

Good marina with helpful dock hands, Restrooms are single hole facilities, but are clean, and there's and "extra" bathroom should one be occupied. Most of the boat traffic obeys the "no wake zone", however some don't and it gets a little bouncy on the outer face dock where they put transients. They did put us on the inside of that dock so the waves were somewhat diminished. Rusty Hooks is a good restaurant. Didn't get to try Joseph's. Only down side is it's distance from downtown Southport.

What a great Marina. Brad and his staff are great. There are 2 restaurants (1not open when we were there-? weekends only). The only drawback was the bathrooms—structurally good but could use a little attention. Definitely a marine I would love to come back to.

Extremely helpful Dock hands and dock master. The inside of the face dock/Transient dock is very protected from the ICW traffic and very calm. Great spot for stopping when traveling North or South on the ICW with two fantastic restaurants right at the dock. An Excellent Italian Restaurant and a really good Bar and Grill with great seafood.

Well maintained, clean, like new docks and facilities. Helpful and friendly staff. We draw 7.5 feet and had no problem in the channel leading to the marina. Deep water on face dock. Convenient to grocery stores(2.5 miles). A very good experience, well worth a visit.

Fabulous Friendly Fun AND great restaurants

We spent a night here heading home. Two SHM employees met us on the dock to manage lines when we arrived. Fueled up, filled water and enjoyed a quiet night on the dock. Laundry and showers are clean. Docks are basically new.

Dockhands very knowledgeable and helpful. They knew what they were doing. New docks were beautiful, just the right height. Also fabulous restaurant right next to marina, Joseph’s. Worth the trip just for that

From the moment we pulled up to the day we pushed off - we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom facilities and two awesome restaurants nearby. We had to get some repair work done #moselymarinemotors so this was a great place for our stay! Thank you!!!

Helpful staff for lines etc. the men in my party found the shower “dirty and not great.” Women’s shower was fine. Would be good if they had recycling capabilities. Somewhat shocking that they don’t. Sane for used oil…

This is an amazing marina, with a great staff, and food onsite if you want that. The rest of town is a quick dinghy ride away. We found it to be an accommodating and very good place to stay on our southerly trek and will be coming back again.

We always love staying at SH South Harbor Village. Great dock hands, fantastic dock master. The facility has been updated after the past hurricane and it is beautiful. 2 great restaurants, various options for rides to services, provisions, propane and liquor at a very low cost. The new dock is lovely, but there is no provision for older boats with old systems. We were not able to use power at all. No rebate or reduction of price was made as the marina staff blamed Dockwa.

Great stay at safe harbor southport marina! All the dock help were all outstanding! Super friendly and helpful! Had dinner at Joseph's Italian Bistro and it was one of the best meals we've had on our journey so far. We will definitely be back!

The Safe Harbor South Harbour Village Marina was recently largely rebuilt and rewired. The face/fuel dock in particular is much stronger and stabler than it used to be. The heads and laundry are always clean, the dock guys know their business and the in-the-marina restaurant Fish Hooks is pleasent with a good bar and food a cut above the average on the waterway restaurant.

Manager, Mike, Dockmaster, Ian and the dock staff couldn't have been more welcoming, generous, and helpful in making the facility available for our use and helping ensure a quality experience for our visiting troops. Nice marina great staff, two excellent restaurants next to Marina.

Deckhands tore off our stern railing. They had no idea what they were doing or how to dock a 70’ boat. Electricity not always working. Water not always working. 15 minutes from the inlet. Many boats going by. Wakes were noisy and kept us awake. The marina is under construction and looks nothing like the photos on the website. Would never go back.

Staff was great. The docks were brand new and really nice. Definitely a crowded overnight stop on the ICW. The staff gave us the number of a local driver who took us on a quick provisioning run. Would definitely stop again if we're up this way again.

Marina is still under repair from a storm 2 years ago. Temp walkways, only dockage was on the outside of the T dock on a busy waterway.

Great place. Still recovering from Hurricane damage but they are trying hard to satisfy. No trash cans on the docks or anywhere on the property

We left a day early because we had to be on the T dock outside on the ICW. Rock-n-rolled all night long and no sleep. We had reservations well in advance and should have been told if they did not have a slip inside. I would not have gone if I knew we were going to be on the fuel dock outside. I would like credit for the second night as we left the Dock right after 11 AM on May 30. Will not go back there!
