I had been a customer of this marina for twenty years, and I have watched the yearly decline of a poorly run establishment. The absentee owner runs this marina for a single reason, which is to make as much money as possible, while providing sub par services.
Most marinas are run by owner operators, and in those cases, there exists a level of pride and concern. Sadly, this is not the case with Haverstraw marina. It once had great attributes, and could be so much better, if only the owner cared. I would like to see this marina get bought out and then maybe it could become a full service marina.
- My heartfelt advice is to find another place to visit and or seasonally stay at, unless you don't care about customer service.
