Coming down the bay after a long day from Cape May we decided to stop at Great Oak Landing rather than continuing on to Annapolis. A tricky approach but very doable. Look at your charts and instruments as the channel is narrow and takes a couple of sharp curves. Looking for a restaurant or yacht club? Non here during early part of the week (October). New \"Safe Harbor\" restrooms/showers are beautiful, you will want to take a shower even if it's not a shower day for you! \nDock hands \"red shirts/jackets\" were very friendly guys. Showed us where the gas grills were so we could cook our emergency rations...some of the worlds best hot dogs (Sahlens) from Rochester, NY.\nMarina is pretty tired but stacks of new floating docks waiting for installation seem to indicate Safe Harbor is spending money and better days are ahead. \nWe really dislike the Dockwa impersonal (all on line approach) to contacting and reserving a sleep. We may be old fashioned but it sure takes a lot out of the boating experience to not be able to find a phone number and if you do have a marina employee say that they can't even talk to you about slip availability. I hope that Marina. Com and Dockwa and the like will adapt to be just more friendly and not just efficient.... leaving many of us wondering if we have good cell service or internet connection.
