When we finally were able to get a spot, we stayed on the North wall. We arrived late afternoon on a weekend, which was one of the busiest times for the docks. It’s a bit of a free-for-all, and first come first served. There wasn’t space for us when we got there, but luckily rafted up with a friend until we saw a spot free up later that night, as a good chunk of the boats head out after eating dinner downtown. Since we pulled in after hours, we ran into the harbor masters walking the docks taking payment from boats that pulled in after they left. We caught them right before we were about to pull out (and we were happy to pay for our night) but would have been way easier if there was a more seamless process to ideally reserve a spot and check in all at once. Fun town with lively restaurants. Did not use any of the bathrooms/showers.
