The approach to Coconut Cabana from the sea is via beautiful White Sound, the channel is lined with the beautiful native mangroves. White Sound is a World famous anchorage. You either arrive at the Cabana’s deeded dock slip or at your future dock on your extra waterfront lot (one of only four vacant waterfront lots on all of White Sound). Either way it is just a short walk by the Jolly Roger and swimming pool to reach Coconut Cabana. GTC Ferry will deliver you directly to the end Bluff House Beach Hotel ferry dock (it is next to our slip).

If you approach by land you stroll along a tropical flowering plant and palm tree lined byway. The Villa is tastefully landscaped with a variety of mature tropical plants: the palm trees, sea-grapes, flowering oleander, hibiscus and bougainvillea are sure reminders you are in a tropical paradise.

The house is solid concrete construction, has open beam and pickled wood ceilings with fans for that Island feel. The windows are hurricane resistant and proven so. The roof was new in 2006, it is low maintenance, long lasting, white interlocking metal. Only in the Tropics can you paint a house “purple passion” on the outside and pale pink on the inside with high gloss white marine grade doors and trim for durability. The floors are easy maintenance ceramic tile throughout the entire house and enclosed patio.

Coconut Cabana is completely furnished with sturdy rattan and wicker furniture. The living room has newly upholstered, overstuffed couches and chairs that will comfortably seat nine (one couch is a queen sleeper). The dining room has a rattan and glass top table with 8 chairs.

The patio is arranged with sturdy comfortable outdoor furniture enough for the entire crowd and another dining table with 4 chairs. Enjoy your morning coffee or relax in the afternoon shade on the screened patio and view the action of the harbor as the boats come and go. The 416 sq. ft. totally enclosed patio wraps 3 sides of the living room and is accessible from the dining room, the north master suite and exits to the yard on White Sound.

Two large private master suites with king beds and private bathrooms, large walk-in showers and double Corian sink vanities are decorated in bright floral décor. The closets aren’t walk-in, but large enough for all your clothing needs.

The kitchen has been thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities and conveniences of home. It has the open country feel with white sparkling cabinets and Corian counters. There is a wet bar in the center that is great for all your entertaining needs. All appliances are included: Refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove/oven, microwave, washer and dryer. Also included are all dishes, flatware, pots and pans, cooking utensils and linens.

The entry hall is off the living room and has access to the powder room and laundry room. The owner’s lock-off in the laundry room supplies ample private storage. There is also lockable outdoor storage under the entire patio for all your extras.

For your added comfort there are 3 individually remote controlled air-conditioning units.

Everything you need accept food is provided and that can be purchased at any of the 3 grocery stores in New Plymouth. Don’t forget the homemade bread, baked daily and delivered to the stores by the local Island ladies. White, raisin or coconut bread could be the toughest choice you will have to make in a day on this Island Paradise or which beach to comb today.
