The Millers Ferry Swing Bridge carries vehicular traffic across Snodgrass Slough just south of Walnut Grove, on the road that eventually winds west to cross Georgiana Slough at the Georgiana Slough Swing Bridge. This area is alive with water, as Snodgrass Slough, the Molekumne River and Sacramento River wind their ways in and out of the islands and land tracts.

Characteristics: The bridge has a 12-foot closed vertical clearance with 85 feet of horizontal clearance at the center span. There are marine facilities just to the north of the bridge on Snodgrass Slough, so watch for other boating traffic is warranted here.

This bridge operates on a restricted opening schedule.

From May 1 to Oct. 31, the bridge has bridgetender service from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will open with 12 hours advance notice. Call 209-468-3074 to schedule an opening or for more details on schedules.
