Introduction:
Lake Surprise is bound to be full of surprises if you take your vessel in the pictured west inlet, southwest of Jewfish Creek. Depths here are only three feet at best, leaving this area a place for dinghy exploration only.

Navigating the Water:
Use NOAA Chart 11464.

The west entrance to Lake Surprise is reached by traveling through Sexton Cove, which is south of Snake Point and Intracoastal Waterway Mile Marker 1135. As depths range from three to six feet, and get shallower as you go in, we recommend checking out this area in your dinghy only.
