Introduction:
The Beckett Bascule Bridge is located far up the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs, just west of Spring Bayou. The bridge carries vehicular traffic across the Minetta Branch on North Spring Boulevard.

Navigating the Bridge:
Use NOAA Chart 11411.

The bridge has a closed vertical clearance of eight feet with 25 feet of horizontal clearance in the centre span. This is a very narrow opening; do not p[ass through at high speed, or attempt to pass with another vessel in the span at the same time.

Depths past the last string of markers north of Chesapeake Point are three to four feet. Only the shallowest draft vessels should attempt passage up to Spring Bayou beyond the bridge.

Bridge Schedule:
Depending on schedule, the bridge can be opened by horn signal (one long, one short) or by hailing the bridge tender on VHF Channel 09. (All bridges in the state of Florida must be hailed on VHF Channel 09.)

Local Notices to Mariners:
Local Notices to Mariners are now exclusively available online from the U.S. Coast Guard.
