Eau Gallie and the Eau Galile River are located off the Indian River about four miles north of Melbourne and 25 miles south of Cape Canaveral near Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) Mile Marker 915.

The image above is a view from the east looking west over the entrance to the Eau Gallie River. A closer look shows the entrance markers to the river, and the various marina facilities can be seen on both shores of the harbor inside.

From the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) leave the channel at flashing red “2” and set a course to the northwest to pick up green daybeacon “1,” which marks the start of the channel into the Eau Gallie River and the town of Eau Gallie . Once you have picked up green daybeacon “1,” head west and follow in green daybeacon “3,” green daybeacon “5,” flashing red “6,” and green daybeacon “7” just inside the river. The river approach channel and inside harbor have reported depth of 10 feet, with six-foot depths farther back.

Inside the Eau Gallie River is a fine collection of marinas with a wide variety of services for cruising boaters. The Eau Gallie Boatworks has a 30-ton lift, crane and railway for repairs and haul outs, while Waterline Marina, Conchy Joe’s Restaurant and the Eau Gallie Yacht Basin have slips for transient guests. There is limited room for anchoring out in the broader part of the harbor.
