Friends of the Beach Point Lighthouse

On May 27, 2010, Fisheries and Oceans Canada declared approximately 480 active lighthouses and approximately 490 inactive lighthouses across Canada surplus to its needs. Beach Point has been deemed one of these lighthouses.on December 23,2010 when the lighthouse in Beach Point was lifted off of its platform and moved up the beach during the storm. We want to bring as much attention as we can to the Federal Government to try and save this part of the Community and its history.
