A nice easy stop off the C&D canal. The dock staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful and the food at the restaurant was tasty.
Awesome place to stop in or out C&D canal. I wish all marinas took care of their clients like they do. Thumbs up! SV Mychka
A 2-3 knot current with an easy approach. Dock hands are very helpful. We overnighted on the face dock which are fixed-3.5 foot tide. Good basic marina with a really good restaurant. If you are picky the noise from vehicles on the bridge might bother you. I had a cold beer and thought of the sounds as a funky reggae beat. Great location midpoint on the C&D canal.
Second time staying here on way through. Last time was in December when off season dock master Tom and his staff are fantastic helping with fuel and docking in stiff current. The on site restaurant and staff were great Amanda brought food right to our boat. This time everything was open and band playing we had a great meal and night.
First time staying at Schaefers by boat. Did an overnight as heading North and it was perfect. Tom, the harbormaster, was terrific. Could just walk from the boat up to the restaurant. Excellent food and service. Ended up staying again when our main engine water pump broke. Tom had no problem letting us stay till we got the work done.
Friendly, responsive, helpful — helped us with lines even throughout the night, brought ice took trash Can’t say enough good things about Marina and add the restaurant was awesome and delicious ‼️ If your looking for a place to stop Look 👀 no further
What's happening at Schaefers. Are the docks repaired and open for business? Can someone please update?
