What's with all the boats?
By virtue of its geographic location, it would be hard to find a more ideally situated boater’s paradise than River Dunes.

14 miles of natural shoreline on a peninsula that sits on the Gateway to the big water of the Pamlico Sound with easy access to the famed Outer Banks and waters beyond.

A protected launching point for cruising the Intracoastal Waterway that passes right by our front door.

Some of the finest winds and waters for sailing in the world - just waiting to be discovered.

And miles and miles of pristine creeks and estuaries for exploring by paddle.

Grace Harbor
A 400 slip fully amenitized world-class harbor has been created with an easily navigable channel to Broad Creed and the waters beyond. The result is a safe harbor, faced with a secure composite stone bulkhead that is eight feet deep at normal water level. For a charming effect, gas lighting surrounds the harbor. The floating dock system is made of Brazilian ironwood - almost everything proof.

Owning at River Dunes
There are many different reasons people decide to become property owners at River Dunes. Love of the water, happy memories of summer camp experiences, desire for a family gathering place to retreat from the fast pace of life - all these reasons have factored in for various families. Many have also expressed the significance of careful planning for sustainability.

Brief Description: Twain’s timeless classic sweeps us down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom at the mouth of the Ohio River. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful and heartwarming, bringing to life your favorite characters from the novel — the Widow Douglas and her stern sister, Miss Watson; the uproarious King and Duke, who may or may not be as harmless as they seem. You’ll also be reacquainted with Huck’s partner in crime, Tom Sawyer, and their rowdy gang of pals; Huck’s drunken father, the sinister Pap Finn; the lovely Mary Jane Wilkes and her trusting family. Propelled by an award winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journey provides a brilliantly theatrical celebration of pure Americana. Music and Lyrics by Roger Miller. Musical Book by William Hauptman, Adapted from the novel by Mark Twain.
