Pier 76 - AnonymousJul 04, 2017

I normally don't write reviews but in total frustration I'm writing one against Pier 76. Ever since they pulled my motor on 260 sea ray I've had nothing but problems. Immediately after putting it back in the water I've had 1) water leaks. They broke fitting cool fuel assy . Could not be repaired. $900 just for part. 2) continue to still get water in bilge but only when running above 2000 rpm. I can't find the leak but suspect one of the raw water hoses under engine is compromised 3) found both engine lifting brackets bent. Realized that when changing oil filter and it was rubbing riser hose. They were bent because they didn't use a spreader bar and pulled on the lift points on a steep angle. 4) It appears they set engine down on oil drain hose which cut it and started seeping oil in bilge 5) it also cracked the pan which was also leaking. Admittedly the pan appears to have a rust spot there to but our agreement was to replace anything that looked questionable when the engine was out. Now I have to pay to have engine removed again an another lost boating season. To add insult to injury. They doubled or even tripled the cost of every part replaced. I called several times no return call. When I finally got through they made it clear they weren't taking responsibility for anything. Lesson learned- find a reputable marina that takes pride and stands behind their work. I wouldn't trust pier 76 with my 5hp outboard.
