Cape Fear Marina is uniquely situated up the Cape Fear River, away from the traffic and busyness of the Intracoastal waterway traffic, yet close enough to enjoy the many shops and restaurants that downtown Wilmington has to offer. We serve a large array of luxurious vessels. Our boat slip rentals include membership to our gated, secure dock with amenities like a bathhouse, showers, and an on-site laundry facility. If you’re looking for a quiet, serene marina in Wilmington, NC, Cape Fear Marina is a secluded sanctuary just a short drive from downtown Wilmington.
Have kept our catamaran here for the past 3 hurricane seasons. Safe location up the Cape Fear. Hop in the dinghy to zip downtown for great food, ice cream, and frequent activities. (Concerts, farmers market, art shows etc.) Easy to take guests downtown or for a day trip on the river. Maintenance on the facilities could be faster. A/C in the bathrooms have been out for a month; hard to understand stuff like that. Would have docked them a star for that, but the staff deserve 6 stars. Renn the dockmaster is friendly and always has great local knowledge. Gia in the office has helped us arrange deliveries multiple times when we had some heavy loads, batteries and chain that needed a forklift to accept. She always is on top of getting us scheduled and helps us get everything done. Nice laundry machines. Really need a car for shopping, but we take the local bus in town to rent a car at the airport when we don’t have a car. Nice friendly neighbors. Great sunsets over the marsh. It is comfortable here.
This marina is well maintained with an awesome staff! Very helpful! Beautiful spot, no issues during my time here! The staff really knows what customer service is all about!
This is a wonderful place to dock your boat. The people who work here are very resourceful and always super kind. Convenient place to dock to get in and out of the Cape Fear River Area. Just a great spot, close to every thing you could need.
Super reasonably priced, full-service boatyard on site. Off the Hook, which handles the leasing, has been easy to work with and accommodating.
I had fiberglass and gelcoat repair done. Looked great initially but 5 months out gel coat started to yellow significantly. When asked for support Connor Bennet stated work was outside 3 month warranty period. Beware! Go elsewhere.
Be very leery of service work here. Had stern drive seals replaced. Within 50nm of use lost prop. Internal screw came out then locking cone spun off breaking thread. Was forced to haul out in Florida. At 1st BBY said would cover prop and locking cone but after haul out and shaft replacement BBY reneged on offer to cover anything after admitting in phone call it's possible they under-torqued. Bad Business Practice . Will never return and potential customers beware of my very negative experience
Stayed at CFM while passing through. I stayed for three days and my husband a few days longer. I think the ladies room should be cleaned more. Not sure if they clean them every day but while I was there, there was some hair left behind that remained for the 3 days I was there. It looked like the garbage was emptied but not to much else was done. Same way with the laundry room. Not cleaned while I was there. They also seem to have started a log collection. They tie logs to the dock and they seem to keep them for a while. The times I went near the bathrooms/laundry/deck area the manager seemed to always be sitting there smoking. His time would have been better spent cleaning. Would not stay again and would not recommend.
