The Gargano Marina Residence rises on the hills of Rodi made of ancient olive trees and citrus orchids and offers a privileged view of the sea and its surrounding area.

The integration with the territory is perfectly succeeded thanks to the expert use of stone and fine wood, based on the precise choice of the Capolei and Cavalli Architects whose planning marks the desire to address a refined and demanding clientele.

Many services are available in the Residence, including special common areas dedicated to the reception, club house, pool, fitness center, cleaning and change of linen services (upon request), to maintain the quality and the value of holidays intact with time.

The Yachting Club of Rodi Garganico Marina will be inaugurated in May 2009.

Mooring safety

The Rodi Marina, designed by Studio MODIMAR, was conceived to guarantee the maximum safety to yachtsmen and their units and, as we can see from the pictures, the project of the port provides the classical basin layout with a majority of curves for a better hydraulic and esthetical efficiency.
The main cliff breakwater dam is 700 m. long and stretches out at sea for over 350 m. from the coast resting on the seabed and stretches out East parallel to the coast to protect from the tidal waves prevailing from North-West.
The jetty presents a low unanchored crest to improve the safety of the docks and the hydraulic and landscape efficiency.

The mouth of the port is 54 m. wide and to further protect the upper part of the jetty it stretches out east for over 120 m. beyond the mouth, providing further shelter and a wide fore-harbour with evolution circles of 110 diameter and 80 m.

The inner access canal is at least 30 m. wide and the circling manoeuvres are available in different areas inside the basin assuring high navigation safety standards.

The tidal scour is low because of the shelter guaranteed by the parallel jetties and the presence of antiglare quay walls (see picture of shipyard water basin with a force-6 sea).

All the berths are well oriented according to the direction of the North-North-West prevailing winds.

The berths are all the traditional peak type with the classical chain sag system on both fixed and floating piers, settles to the bottom part of the jetty.

Safety and protection of the crafts against undesired attacks are guaranteed.
The experience of the design engineers has moreover positioned the control tower of the Marina on the end of the bottom part of the jetty, offering a better range of vision not only of the access area but also of the water basin.
The efficiency has been implemented with a sophisticated video-surveillance system coordinated by the personnel of the Marina's Internal Security.
