Windward at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor

Very well run Marina. It was protected from the non stop cold north winds. Was able to arrange for hull bottom cleaning and added new zinc after my trip from NC. Also had rigger sort out a minor issue at mast head. Older facility but extremely well run and clean. Entire staff acted like they appreciated my business and handled dock lines with great expertise. Would recommend them without reservation for others transiting this area.

The bathroom s were filthy The slip we rented had immovable object on the pier narrowing the walkway to 25% of which we had to walk the dogs and take our scooters through In the early morning hours before six the bathrooms were locked and NO access The downtown was 2 miles a way The good thing is they agreed to renegotiate the fee Should have anchor in the downtown area And avoided the aggravation Would Not recommend unless there is bad weather

Best stop for transient dockage. on east coast. Love fueling in slip. Unfortunately the Kingfisher restaurant was closed. Being ablecto fuel in slip then walk to dinner is very important on my decision where to stop.

Excellent location because it was well protected from wind and current. The fairways are a bit narrow, and the incoming captain must be on the top of their game, particularly if they are tired from a long trip. The dockhand was enthusiastic, but green. A circuit breaker in the power pylon was fused shut and non functional. The on site restaurant was only open weekends. Potable water was sometimes available. Windward provided two-way Ubers while there. Office staff was 5 stars. very good location. 1.5 miles from the historic district which is fantastic. Drunken Horse restaurant is awesome. Will stay at Windward again.

This was our 4th yr making the boat trip up from Edgewater/NSB and our crowd grows each year. This was our 1st time at the Inn/marina and we will be back again next year. Your personnel were very accommodating, prompt and courteous. Thank You for contributing to our very enjoyable weekend!

we booked a slip, and when we arrived we were parked on the main dock by restuarant.

One night transient dockage. Great dock hands and very nice lack of current. Otherwise, the marina is just not good, clean, or organized. The bathrooms, pool, dock, and other facilities need major cleaning and upgrading. This place has gone way downhill. I would not stay here again.

The folks at Camachee are always very helpful and easy to work with. I'm on a waiting list for a permanent slip there, but in the meantime we enjoy getting temporary slips on the weekends. We will be back again soon!

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The floating docks were great and the slips were very large with plenty of space. The facilities were very clean. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant. The food was very good. I would definitely go back when I am in the St Augustine area.

I was A10 6/7 - 6/8/2024 and the water was not working. I would have been great to wash my boat.

Stayed before with no issue so we returned. This time however we set up rental online and got to marina to find the slip they placed us in didn’t fit our boat. They moved us to another slip that had no power or hose for water. Took boat out early only to find my boat keel was damaged like it had been hit with dark marks and a chip into the fiberglass. No way to take boat (on trailer) back to Comanche Cove. Very disappointed. Not the experience we had before.

I got stuck all the way at the end of dock A. The marina was under construction, I had no water and no electric and was still charged the full rate.! Marina seems to want its cake and eat it too. Also got stuck on the bottom entering and had to wait out the tide (5’-2” draft) at the Valano dock.

Not able to enter or leave Marina close to low tide. Everything else more than satisfactory.

The staff at the marina were very nice. The marina appeared to be undergoing a lot of construction particularly around the pool area. The pool was extremely small. The laundry facilities closest to the little store/bait shop was the nicest. Laundry was reasonable at $3.00/load. There was a nice area to walk around the private residential area on one side of the marina.

great place. I keep missing the King Fish restaurant (sp?) but Vinny's is great pizza. Clean Marina, nice bathrooms, great location in/out of the ICW. With the Freedom boat club there, there is a good bit of small boat traffic but its manageable.

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Super calm despite 20-30 kt winds. Easy access to Publix with a courtesy car and biking to St Augustine. This is a great place to stay.

Great facility and the First Mate service and parts went above and beyond . Loaner car really adds to the value. Will always stop there.

We appreciate courtesy cars because they are 'out of town'. However they placed us in a dangerously shallow slip despite our DOCKWA profile indicating 4' draft. At low tide both propellers and rudders were buried in the mud. Hopefully the weight of our boat didn't push them into a submerged obstruction resulting in bent blades and/or rudder shafts. Very unprofessional.

The staff was fantastic as always. The dock I was assigned to was the new pier and there was no power. At low tide I was sitting on the bottom hopefully I didn’t tear up my wheels. That said the staff was great and let me move to the gas dock. You need to be careful what boats you put out towards the end of the new south side pier.

Peaceful marina with nice areas to walk dogs. It was a little busy by us as we next to sailing class vessels, but overall it was quiet and we enjoyed Christmas and New Years here. There are a few restaurants on sitebtoo.

Marina is beautifully maintained, dog friendly, people friendly, and protected from nasty wind! Nice, clean facilities! Wish water pressure a bit better but it works! Nice coffee maker and laundry! Dock hands were particularly helpful!!! Came in with a starboard tie up and the wind and current kept pushing us away so they helped flip us around to a port tie up. We watched them handle multiple boats that needed help very well. Staff was very accommodating. The courtesy car always makes provisioning so much easier. Thanks Camachee!!!

The marina has been acquired by Windward and it appears they are trying to fix it up a bit. The dock we were on was a new face dock that lines their entrance. Other docks seem older and some maintenance is needed. Two of the bath houses have been remodeled and are nice. The third is older and apparently had some vandalism (unfortunately this was the one closest to our dock). Parts and services are on site, but the location is a few miles away from town. The two best things about this marina are the staff and availability of two courtesy cars. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the car makes shopping and siteseeing easy for transient boaters. Price is on the higher side for the area, but I would still recommend Camachee Cove.

We were told they would have Internet available for our meetings, but it was out and we went to the office and asked for help and they were no help at all. Now we We asked for a credit for one day because of this problem requiring us to miss meetings, and they would not respond. I will never recommend Komachi Cove again and share this story with others

Everything was excellent. The use of a loaner car was great.

Dockhands and staff were friendly and helpful. In-marina restaurant was great. In-marina marine store was convenient. No wake from ICW. Rated 4 because their pump out required an adapter. But the plastic ones had stripped threads and would not seal properly. Thus no suction. Now have to make an unscheduled stop.

Camachee Cove is an outstanding Marina, just off of the ICW, in St Augustine. It is located in a protected Basin, with excellent docks, staff, and facilities.

Well I always try to understand changes but we are a 70’ LOA 19.6 BEAM so asked for a face dock ….. called to advise in about 1300 will a face dock Starboard Tie be available. We just fought our way thru some heavy currents just got in the entrance ask for location she asks if we need fuel we say now and in 5 seconds changed you to M18 a short narrow slip with a 100-110 motor yacht across. I think that’s last time there for us

Pleasant nice docks great dockhands. Power was a real problem with breakers going off on four outlets until I finally found something to stay on after taking two of my three chargers off line. Response from Marina Manager was … we’ll look into that. Courtesy car was really nice to have

We had one of our two electric bicycles stolen during the first night there. They were locked up on a bike rack on the parking lot side of the marina where there are no cameras. The heavy steel lock cable was cut. Someone there on the dock (employee) said that there had been a bicycle stolen there before. They need to allow us to lock them beside the boat where cameras can see goings and comings from the dock. The deputy sheriff came and filled out a report but I never heard anything back.

This is a beautiful facility with everything you need right on the property.

We have been at Camachee Cove for five months now. Couldn't ask for a better place. They run a tight ship. The docks are cleaned daily, the dockhands walk the docks to check on everything daily, too. The three lounges/laundry/showers and restrooms are spread out on the grounds to make it convenient for everyone. And they are always clean. Everything you could possibly need is here; haul out and full service yard, nice restaurant, ship's store, small grocery also makes great breakfasts and sandwiches, seafood shop, canvas shop, fuel. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this marina to anyone.
