Sandy Hook Bay |
Welcome to Sandy Hook Bay Marina in Highlands, NJ. We are conveniently located 4 nautical miles southwest from the tip of Sandy Hook, 12 nautical miles south of New York harbor and 90 nautical miles north of Atlantic City, NJ. Our convenient location with deep water access to the Atlantic Ocean, Hudson River, Raritan Bay and the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers makes our port an ideal destination for travelling boaters. Our marina has a total of 130 slips with a minimum of 15 reserved for transient guests.
We spent a week here while we waited for a decent weather window to proceed south. It was a wonderful upscale / resort type marina to be "stuck" in! The Manager - Gloria and her staff were courteous, helpful and provided excellent service. Floating docks are in very good shape. Power pedestals with 30 amp and 50 amp service. Bathrooms are clean, modern and spacious. Laundry is available. Upscale restaurant next door with great view of the Sandy Hook Bay and Happy Hour from 4 to 6. The only negative is the ferry terminal a few hundred yards away. When the ferry goes by it does rock the boats in the marina.
a tight fit getting in to a well protected marina...very friendly staff....pretty marina ...it is mostly a yacht club that has some transient slips.
Nice marina with friendly group of people. Clean facilities, nice landscaping, limited parking with restaurant but if you come by boat that isn't an issue. Restaurant next door is good.
Extremely clean Very friendly people Everything is brand new Pool, restaurant, outdoor bar, 3 gas grills, fire pit, pool, showers, members lounge, ice cream, located at end of no wake zone, sea walls keep boats safe, management is accommodating, boat carts, electric and fresh water at every slip, very social place. Its my 1st year and its worth the extra money.
I can't express enough how great the staff is at this marina, very friendly, very knowledgable, and it seemed as if they own a crystal ball because they were always right there! The marina itself is beautiful, with a great pool, a veranda, amazing restaurant right there and an ocean side bar. Everything was clean and overall a great experience! We were there while they were holding a fishing tournament and I have to say that only added to the already very positive energy of the place. The only downside is that there is always boat movement outside and some of it filters into the marina so your boat will move with wake occasionally (this did not stop me from sleeping like a rock).
Great facilities great staff. But the Ferry next door runs all day and most of the night. So take that as you’d like.
