Located just minutes south of LAX and Marina del Ray, Redondo Beach is a popular beach community with tons of activities that center around fishing, surfing, beach going and shopping. The main marine facility in town is King Harbor, a large enclosed refuge with an abundance of facilities for the boater.

The Redondo Beach Pier is a popular place to fish, people watch, shop, or grab a bite to eat. Shoreside, a long stretch of shops and restaurants line the beach and are worth exploring.

The depths on this chart are marked in fathoms. Keep in mind when reading your chart that one fathom equals six feet.

King Harbor is approached from the south. Read and white Morse (A) buoy “RB” starts the approach, followed by green can “1” and red nun “2.” The breakwaters are each marked with flashing green and red lights.

Once inside, you’ll enjoy a deep and well-protected harbor with all the amenities you will need. Depths range from 10 to 24 feet (more in spots).
