Tucked just inside Trinidad Head, the city of Trinidad is a classic Northern California Coast town with redwood trees, rugged coastline and a history that dates back to Native Americans, logging and whaling.
There is a small anchorage behind prisoner rock in Trinity Bay with seven- to 28-foot depths. Trinidad Head Light to the west marks the approach to Trinidad, but only a red nun buoy is available to guide you in to Trinity Bay.
Local Notices to Mariners are available online from the U.S. Coast Guard.
