I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit but feel a 1 star review was a little harsh considering the bigger picture and challenges of operating during an ongoing pandemic. I can assure you first hand that my staff and I have been actively advising everyone who calls that we have marina construction underway and that pandemic-related restrictions are affecting both our operations and other attractions such as the local restaurants and bars that are normal favorites for our guests. Presently the State of Maryland has mandated *all* common areas (including our clubhouse building) remain closed. As of Friday evening Governor Hogan amended his executive order to allow outdoor pools to reopen at reduced capacity under strict operating guidelines, but ultimately we cannot open our pool until our County Health Department performs their inspection. Believe me, if we could open our pool we certainly would have done so! Our construction activity is indeed disruptive, which is why we took the decision to place all transient visitors at our boatyard docks. This winter three crews have been hard at work replacing 100% of the old bulkheads; at this point they are about 85% complete. Our new floating fuel dock is up and running along with all new tanks, lines and electronic dispensers and as soon as trenching for new electrical and water service is completed we will be able to re-grade the parking lot and eliminate the bulk of the mess in the next couple weeks. The project will then take a break for the remainder of the summer and over the winter we will remove the remaining fixed docks, perform maintenance dredging and then install new floating docks on the south side of the property.
