We stopped here for a day to explore the town of Oxford. Jeff, the manager, was great. He met us on the dock, welcomed us to the town and marina and helped us tie up. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants (Capsize was outstanding) as well as all the information of what to see and do while we were there. The facilities were clean, showers and lounge were top notch. The marina is converting to floating docks and this was in process while we there but it was not noisy. This sleepy little town is very quaint and cute. The marina is centrally located. Wifi was also good at the lounge. There are picnic tables and chairs to sit outside and enjoy views of the water too.
We are finishing our last few days of a month stay at Anchorage Marina and couldn’t be more pleased. From awesome service by Wayne and his staff, to a great floating dock swimming pool, to a location in Baltimore that can’t be beat! Anchorage Marina is a truly friendly place with most of the marina slips owned by boat owners. We were welcomed as transients and offered lots of local tips. West Marine is a block away and offers huge Thursday discounts to anyone at the marina. Safeway is across the street as is a well stocked liquor store and Ace Hardware. Most major stores within walking distance and all the restaurants of Fells Point and Canton are nearby. For those with dogs, the marina always has free dog snacks out and dog parks are close by. The lounge is large and Uncrowded and mail/package delivery is easy. The docks are in excellent shape and electricity and water were great. Definitely recommend for a stay in Baltimore.
Stayed on a mooring ball for a week. The marina staff is very nice. We arrived and found the mooring pennant damaged. Went to another mooring. The staff fixed the mooring pennant within a couple days and thanked us for letting them know. There are plenty of free bicycles for use 24/7 right at the docks. The bathrooms had 2 stalls and 2 showers. It is air conditioned and clean, although somewhat dated. There are no laundry facilities. Grocery store, restaurants, ice cream shop, farm market, dollar store are all an easy bike ride away. Will definitely return.
